  1. I have problem where when I press a key on my midi-controller I get a double attack once and a while, roughly every 5 notes with no relation to velocity. I'm using Presonus interfaces, Firepod and Firebox. Both have the same problem and are otherwise working perfectly. I've tried different controllers, different audio programs. It's most notable when using piano sounds, like in Logic or Akoustik Piano. I'm using iDeneb 10.5.5. Just for kicks I tried the AppleFWAudio for 10.5.6 with no change. EDIT: I only have one midi cable connecting my controller to the interface so it's not a 'thru' problem. Has anybody seen this before? I'd be very grateful for advice as this is PITA.
  2. Custom whitelist for HP DV series BIOS

Thanks for the tip! Glad this worked because min is a dv7 with the Insyde bios. Where did you get your u.fl extension cable from? Can't seem to find them.
  3. Thanks man. I ended up extracting the new Nvidia kexts from the 10.5.6 update and everything works fine with nvdarwin. HDMI out is awesome. No IDT sound yet....that's another story.
  4. [HOW TO] Getting IDT Audio Working

Any news on getting HDMI audio from this hardware? Just for kicks I added entries in the AppleHDAController info.plist for the modem and hdmi (codec1 and codec2 respectively on linux). The '1' entry in HDAConfigDefault is pretty sparse but for '2' I used the rules of pin config formatting for this: <20571c10 20571d01 20571e56 20571f18 20771c21 20771d01 20771e56 20771f58 20971c22 20971d01 20971e56 20971f58 20b71c23 20b71d01 20b71e56 20b71f58 20d71c24 20d71d01 20d71e56 20d71f58> But no luck. 5. Do you mean make our plist look like yours or match the file versions it references? thx
  6. I have same situation with a bluetooth remote. No escape. Please let me know if you come up with solution. Seems ludicrous that this isn't possible. Thanks!
  7. Thanks mikap1! That got my VGA going. But I used to have Quartz Extreme with NVdarwin and my 9600m GT 512MB (on an hp dv7-1270us ). Did you get QE with this setup? Thanks
  8. Yep, make sure you're running 10.5.5 at least.
  9. [Guide] XPS M1710 OS X Leopard

Could you elaborate on how you did this? I can't seem to make a proper dos usb drive. They all end up being 1.44 mb and have no room for the nvflash tool. Thanks
  10. Hey did you ever figure this one out? I just restored an entire disk from time machine and I'm having the same problerm. Sounded similar to your CCC situation. Partition IS active etc. etc.
  11. Crash in Logic Pro 8

Same here. Did u ever solve this? Thanks
  12. [How To] Fix 10.5.5 Update Problems

I couldn't boot until I restored my kexts from 10.4.5. Had to boot from the startup disk and launch Terminal. root:uname -r 9.5.0 baby!
