  1. Hi all, I left the OSX scene at about 10.5.4. At that point I got my P35 DS3R fully working with software raid. Since SL is out I thought I'd pick it up again but it seems everything has changed. I used to get a modified dvd from a torrent site, put it in, select my hardware and done. Can anyone help me install SL on a P35 DS3-R. I can't even get the dvd to boot
  2. After I updated from Jas 10.5.4 to 10.5.5 I appear to be unable to unmount disks properly. When I press CMD + E of simply place a disk or diskimage in the trashcan It remains visible on my desktop and in finder in general. I can make the desktop icon disappear by doubleclicking it but the icons in finder won't disappear. after using my computer for about a day finder shows about 15 disks. any help?
  3. 3G iPhone Confirmed For WWDC

Yup, everyone has wifi, But it tends to be quite usefull to have 3g when your phone checks your mail all the time. For example, when you're in your car. And in the Netherlands there is no EDGE network present. We switched to UMTS/HSDPA about two years ago! EDGE just isn't fast enough in a country twice as many phone as people
  4. Kalyway 10.5.2 Update on TPB

Next time search the forum just like you did the bay http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=87170
  5. Another safe way to install 10.5.2

Will this work the other way around too? I have a USB drive with 10.5.1 sse2 that boots on most modern intelchipset based systems. If I boot from that will I be able to install te update on the fixed disk in my computer and modify the whole shabang!
  6. Hi there, As I was browsing for info on the 10.5.2 update I stumbled upon a torrent on "The Bay" The torrent is called "kalyway_hack_10.5.2ComboUpdate" but there is not much info about it. Since I only have one Hackintosh at the moment testing this is not an option for me. Can anyone confirm if it's good or not!? Thanx in advance
  7. Confirmation of MacBook Air?

major bull. My hackintosh is a P35-DS3R, that's what the systemprofiler says.
  8. Help me dual boot

have you tried EasyBCD It runs just fine from vista, that is how I made my trippleboot system with guid partition table for osx on a separate disk. Inside easybcd you can choose the type of osx setup you're booting.
  9. 10.5.1 update

I just ran the official apple update (running efi_v4 with vanilla kernel). Went perfect!!! Since the only modified kexts i'm running are the titan ones there was no need to replace anything afterwards. Updating never felt better. Check the uname -a output Darwin apple.local 9.1.0 Darwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Wed Oct 31 17:46:22 PDT 2007; root:xnu-1228.0.2~1/RELEASE_I386 i386
  10. NVIDIA cards in LEO yet?

7600GS works out of the box with brazilmac dvd. Even screendetection works. However, when I resume from sleep the screen becomes pixely. (looks like i'm running 640x480 while the backgroundpicture is still @ 1280 x 1024) edit: I just found out that the screen only goes bad when connected to the second DVI port
  11. i noticed netkas released v5. Can anyone upload this as I cannot connect to irc servers? thnx
  12. Hi there, In order to play my 720p movies in frontrow I need them to play in Quicktime. I've installed a couple of codecs inculding perian. I've never seen HD content play so smooth. There is one remaining issue tough. There is no audio. Whenever I play one of my movies in VLC or MPlayer it's all good, however, in order to make them play in frontrow they need to work in quicktime. I've checked the audiostream of the files, they are AAC-MP4a and AC3. I'm running leopard. Any help is welcome, thnx in advance
  13. Could this mean booting a software OSX-Software raid volume. That would make my dreams come true!!!
  14. Just a short summary of my P35-DS3R install. Everything is working fine for me, the only kexts I installed are the ones for the audio part (http://rapidshare.com/files/51585161/alc889a.zip.html). Networking works out of the box with the kalyway dvd. I did replace one kext to get the dvd-player working with video_ts files (files are in this thread http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=70155) Since I have a Nvidia 6600GS no additional video drivers were needed. I'm running it with a core2duo, 2GB ram, 250Gb SATA-disk and a SATA-DVD-Writer
  15. Shutdown problems

I have the same problem every now and then. Are you running koolkal too? EDIT: I feel so dumb right now. I'm running Brazilmac
