  1. I've tried everything you've listed, and i've read through each post to see if i found my answer. On my setup, I have to turn off Legacy USB in my CMOS in order to get my USB to load right every time. THe usb is great, but turning off Legacy USB also stops the bios from loading the keyboard during the darwin boot, which means i can't select which OS to boot into. By the way, thanks for everything you've done on this subject.

I've rebooted three times with successful usb loading... Unfortunately, when i turned off USB legacy support, it also turned off the ability to use the keyboard during Darwin boot... The one thing I haven't tried is the PCGENUSB2.kext, since it forces the BIOS to release the usb info, i think this is what i need. CAN someone please upload this kext so i can try it in my installation?

  4. I have went through the whole thing. I've manually put the iousbemass kext in the iousbefamily plugs ins, that did't work. I checked my system kext and kernel many many times, both are matching 9.2.0. I decided to use the install package, first with the singular system.kext update, and then with the kabyl kernel to match my nforce chipset(this caused it to not boot anymore) so i restored from time machine. I've installed lingon and set the launch daemons, i set the ioumassusbmassstorage line, and the one to load appleusbuhci, because those two weren't being loaded on there on. This worked on the first reboot, but then thats it. Even after 3 consecutive reboots it still doesn't load right. I deleted the kext mentioned, and the cache file(i didnt have com.apple.info.kext( i think thats what oyu said it iwas) so i just deleted all of them. they still got reloaded) This actually worked once as well, but then never again.. and i did use the -v -f boot, infact i use that about 70% of the time..... i'm at an end... I can post what ever information you need, just let me know.. the fact that it loads atleast once means it will work. I haven't used the PCGENusb2 kext, but form what everyone says it wouldn't matter much anyhow. I am a noob, i've been at this for about 6 months, this is my second computer and i just introduced my friend to osx86, and we've been working on his laptop. anyways.. Anyways replys would be very great, even if its to tell me i'm SOL.
  5. Alright, so I did this and nothing happend.. i decided to move on to my jmicron pci-e to ide/sata card for a while.. anyways while I was tryin to get the expansion card to work, i was in the process of reboot. I went to enter the flags "-f -v". I typed quickly and accidently entered "-f 0v".. seems like nothing right? with the flag 0v my USB suddenly started working... i restarted and left out the 0v, my USB has went back to normal and not working.. i restarted again.. this time added the 0v and BLAMO! USB works yet again.. I know very little about the flags, I know -v shows diagnostics, x loads safe mode, -s loads single sure or what ever.. but whats the deal with 0v? And on that note.. is there a way to set flags to the boot file so it loads automatically every time? thats ZERO v(0v), not the letter o. Has anyone else has this experience? lucassster

    Driver for nForce4 LAN

Hi msi-k9n69m2 (ms7309) mobo nividia geforce mcp61p + nforce 430 chipset 1 sata 250 seagate 1 external 500 wd 1 ide 160 wd 1 Lite-on DVD multi 1 Lite-on Cd-rw 1 external LG Super Multi DVD-ram Alright, I've spent many hours working on this. I'm tryin to get ethernet on my hackintosh to work, obviously. I dl the last updated file, i ran all the commands successfully.. well to a point. When i run the loadkext command it goes through, it pops up sayin mac has found a new network interface.. and then the computer stops responding to mouse or keyboard input. The little button you click to go to network preferences still flashes blue, for a short time, and the time keeps up to date.. also for a short time. After a short time, the computer freezes and then I have to reboot. I would post the output but I have no chance to save it because of its none responsiveness. The last bit of output it shows is finding of nforce4 lan, the mac address, and the phy thing.. then it just says data underrun about 5 times before freezing. any help would be greatly appreciated. My friend just put kalyway on his laptop, we just got his wifi working and it was exciting. Now i've damned determined to get my ethernet, and soon wifi working as well. Right now i'm just focused on ethernet.. With a working ethernet ,wifi and usb my install will be perfect. that is , none of those are working as of now.. anyways.. peace EDIT: Alright, I actually took the time to read about my post and saw that someone was haveing the same exact issue. I downloaded the new driver and am in the process of trying it out.. i will post my results in the thread about that particular driver
