i think most of the users having problem with "still waiting for root device" are using nvidia geforce 7 series graphics cards like me. i've tried every thing, i mean every thing from bios settings to setting up hard drives and dvd roms. nothing working with iatkos 5i 10.5.5. replacing card with 8 series is not a solution. there must be a solution. am i correct or not? if yes then any idea????????????????????

  9. Well, to me, i've not yet succeeded to install Leopard on my pc. First i got an error "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.Slist' not found" I had two dvd roms, bottin from master solved problem. But next problem is the most people have. The most popular grey screen freeze in gui mode or "Still waiting for root device" horrible error. It says this is due to uncompatible hard drives. Where is the solution? I'm still looking for it. If you have a solution, please post it here, so that all can have som solution. Thanks in advance.
  10. iATKOS 5i 10.5.5 Intel DVD

I had another problem that said com.apple.slist or something like that, i found solution for that, i had two dvd-rom's, i was booting from 2nd drive (slave). Booting from master solved problem. Now i'm always stuck at first apple grey screen or when i use -v (verbose) switch, it always says "Still waitin for root device". Googled and searched every where but there is no proper answer. What everyone says that hardware (in this case may be hard drive) is not compatible. What possible solution is there for this problem. I've two sata hard drives, one is seagate and other one is maxtor, both are 500GB. Two pata dvd-rom's one is hp dvd writer (master) and 2nd is asus 16x dvd-rom.

  12. iATKOS 5i 10.5.5 Intel DVD

Hi guys, i've never used Mac OS X b4. I've downloaded this version, but have a couple of questions. 1- How 2 burn dis .iso image to dvd. I've burnt dis image to dvd using UltraISO 9.2. But when i boot from dvd, it gives me an error: System config file '/com.apple.Boot.Slist' not found Which software is best to burn dis image file, bcoz inside image (under MS Windows) it shows only 192kb size of files. 2- What is the exact method to install it cleanly. (Simplest method plz) 10x. Short Desktop Specs. : Motherboard :Intel DG33FB Processor : Intel Core2Duo E4400 (2.00GHz) RAM : 2GB DDR2 HDD's : 1- Maxtor 500GB 2- Seagate 500GB CD-ROM's : 1- HP DVD Writer 1040r (HP Super drive) 2- ASUS DVD-E818A (ASUS 16x ROM)
