HP Mini 311 Darwin Project Thread (Part II - CURRENT)

@cgdavilab A while back, Proto asked if anyone had external hosting. And you're bang on for why it would be good. Any support requests in non-support threads can just get nuked by moderators, instead of flamed by the seasoned coders that are keeping this alive. I'd suggest that we just get proto's Google Code project, instead of making a new one. I've got PHP/MySQL hosting so I can run something like phpBB on my server. @ The Community If you are interested in this, let me know!

I can help with management of the project, I have still not gotten a Mini 311 (hopefully in the next week or 2). I'm not a programmer by any means, but I can help manage the project. Also, if there is interest I have hosting and we can continue these threads elsewhere. We are limited as to what we can do / not do (deleting posts, etc.)

@lemaurien The 210's keyboard will most likely not work. The screen size is different, so the whole netbook's size is different. Therefore, there is a good chance that the keyboard is a different size. (BTW, this is more of a support thread question IMHO)

Just because it is confusing currently, Which configuration is best as far as WiFi goes? Do all have separate BT if you pay for it? Does the N card or the G card work better (if the stocks are now working) I'm finally about to purchase my Mini 311 (Thank God! Finally!) and want to make sure which WiFi solution is best. --McK

@theProto If you want to figure out a better way to host, I'd be willing to volunteer some hosting. Whether you want to set up your own forum, or something else, I can provide the hosting for it.

@theproto; I was asking if there is any system stability difference. I understand that the speed is negligible.

Is there any difference in the stability / machine working with the 1.6ghz Atom vs. 1.66ghz? Since the FSB is faster on the 1.66, it uses a different chipset. Which works better, or does it matter?

Thanks again for the badass work here guys. What kind of battery life are you guys getting? I'd like to know how it compares to the Windows 7 battery life, which I hear is 3-4 hours, depending on what you're doing. Thanks!

I have seen this requested quite a few times in the previous thread, but here is a post with teardown pics of our beloved Mini 311: HP Mini 311 Teardown

Thanks for the support of making a Google Code instance for this. My reasoning was that people could look @ this thread for the nitty gritty, and the (no offense) noobs can go to Google code and see the latest information of the current way to get it working. People don't want to dig through a forum thread that is 30 pages long. Thanks for your work, I'm glad that the work is progressing so quickly. I hope to get a 311 in the next month or so.

May I suggest putting your work here in a Google Code project? This would make it easy to see all of the changes / revisions, and provides hosting as well. I'm looking into a 311, but don't want to get it until I know that WiFi will work under SL.
