    iATKOS 5i 10.5.5 Intel DVD

Uphuck, I had a working install of iATKOS 5i that I tried to add VGA drivers to. After installing the drivers it failed to mount. I did a fresh install and again it didn't boot. It says that the install was successful and to restart the computer, but after restarting it never gets pass the grey Apple screen with the little spinning wheel. Anyone know what this is? Please

    iATKOS 5i 10.5.5 Intel DVD

I went back and tried to install the vga,and installation failed. I did a clean install of iATKOS_5 making sure that I had selected the right drivers for my video card. Istallation was successful, but when I went to restart it never mounts. I had a working system with this distro, but now nothing. Any ideas? thanks in advance

    P5K-SE - Retail Leopard Instalation

so your using the driver from this thread? This seems to be a driver for Tiger. Thats funny;Realtek has Leopard drivers that don't work. Maybe thats why you have to e-mail them to get it. I'll try it again. Thanks gielie

    P5K-SE - Retail Leopard Instalation

Has anyone gotten the P5K Deluxe WiFi card to work in Leopard 10.5.5? Mine is recognized in my system profiler as a USB device. I've installed a newer version of the driver posted here that I got from Realtek after e-mailing them. The extension is in the extentions folder, but I don't know how to configuer it. The version offered here has a utilitiy program, but I couldn't get it to connect. Any help or suggestions welcome.

Installation went smooth, but I'm getting a error code [-70017] "intailation error A valid video device could not be found for playback" When trying to play a DVD movie. P5K-SE - Retail Leopard Instalation

Thats funny,I used iAKTOS_5i only and it worked great. I had to install the driver from the link you provided to get the audio to work. I e-mailed Realtek for the updated RTL8187 drivers for wifi card but,I haven't tested it yet. The only real problem is I'm getting an error code [-70017]intialization error a "valid video device could not be found for playback" when trying to play a DVD movie. I did a search and it seems to be reported by mini-mac owners but still no answer for it. I may need to get a new wifi card because I couldn't seem to get the on board card to work in XP. I've checked the HCL and some of the cards on the list have been giving alot of people problems so if anyone has any suggestions for a card that supports Leopard 10.5.5 and Vista I'd be grateful. Everything went smooth until I tried to play a DVD movie, then I got a error code "a valid video device could not be found for playback" Anyone ever get this code? The drive worked with the install disk and for burning the disk. Any ideas?

  11. I've downloaded Boot-DFE-146-Bum.iso and Boot-Kabyl-Bumby.iso and here is my set-up:ASUS PK5 Deluxe WiFi 6600 Quadcore 2x 250gb HHD 1 for OSX and the other for XP or Vista NVidia 8600 GTS 4GB ram All selected from the compatibility list. This is a new build. I'm also downloading iDened 10.5.5 to try it out. Which of the Boot-files would be better to use? and, when iDened is completed downloading how should I burn it? AS data? Thanks in advance
  12. Thanks for the reply. I have almost the same set-up. I have the deluxe WiFi version of the same mobo with a 6600 quadcore and 8600 GTS 256ram video card
  13. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Leopard could be installed on an external drive and boot from it. Could someone varify.
