  1. anyone in here able to help me out? I'm willing to give this a second try
  2. First off, gotta love the walkthrough and the detailed information, so I decided to give it a try. But: uhoh, I'm getting the screen with the nanoseconds, any help would be much appreciated. I hope the imagequality is sufficient... Ran the dvd without mach_kernel command. Attaching the images seems to fail, here it is: http://img35.imagesh...61/dsc0799w.jpg I'm trying it on: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.2Ghz Socket 775 2GB RAM MB: Asustek P5Q SE2 BIOS Ver 08.00.14 With a Snow Leopard 10.6.3
  3. when I find the time I'll also try working my way through this installer, curious to see if this'll work on my Thinkpad
  4. Another Hackintosh Setup

Another slightly different built, this one around H67 chipset 1155 socket. What do u guys prefer, or think will run osx the best? MB: GIGABYTE GA-PH67-UD3 Intel® H67 Express, ATX, 2x PCIe x16 v2.0, CrossFire, 1155 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-2600 4x 3400 MHz, 4x 256 kB, 8192 kB, Sandy Bridge RAM: Corsair 8 GB DDR3-1333 Quad-Kit GFX: MSI N450GTS Cyclone 1GD5/OC NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450, 1024 MB, 128 Bit, PCIe x16 v2.0 618,70 EURO
  5. Another Hackintosh Setup

    btw, alternative build: MB: GIGABYTE GA-X58-USB3 Intel® X58, ATX, 1x PCIe x16, 2x PCIe x16 v2.0, SLI, CrossFire, 1366 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 950 4x 3066 MHz, 4x 256 kB, 8192 kB, Bloomfield GFX: GIGABYTE GV-N460OC-1GI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, 1024 MB, 256 Bit, PCIe x16 v2.0 RAM: Corsair 12 GB DDR3-1333 Hex-Kit 12288 MB, CL9 9-9-24, 6 stuk(s), PC3 10600
  6. Another Hackintosh Setup

So, I have sold my macbook pro, no longer have use for a laptop and have decided I wanted to go back to a desktop. But, I wasn't ready to give up osx, building a hackintosh is the obvious next step.(one that can also dualboot, cause I still need windows sometimes) I've been reading some topics on this board, some were pretty outdated, and others just weren't what I was looking for. So if u have time, please read through my build, and give me feedback. Any help is appreciated! I've been reading alot about what components work and which ones don't, so I've come up with these 2 builds: 1) (built around a P55 chipset 1156 socket) MB: GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 Intel® P55, ATX, 2x PCIe x16 v2.0, 1156 CPU: Intel Core i5-760 4x 2800 MHz, 4x 256 kB, 8192 kB, Lynnfield RAM: Corsair 8GB DD3-1333 Quad-Kit GFX: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240, 1024 MB, 128 Bit, PCIe x16 v2.0 € 501,60* 2) (built around a X58 chipset 1366 socket) -> I started making this and already came at +800euros just for mb, ram, cpu and gfx. So I decided to ditch this build I'm unsure if I will notice the difference between if I make a better build, I'll mainly use the hackintosh for regular every day use, some gaming and photoshop... So perhaps go for a better series GFX in build one? My main concern is compatability though. any dutch people in here that have a suggestion for a sharply priced shop?
