  1. This is an absolute wonder of a post. Thanks OP! Got my adapter a few days ago and modified it. Before this I always had troubles logging into iCloud and iTunes during initial os config or get iMessage and FaceTime to work properly. Thank you!
  2. UPDATE: adding here a link to my EFI and "RunMe.app" output https://1drv.ms/f/s!AijwqQbUnoN1gsZK096vFcTQunbz1A Hi everyone.Ever since installing Mojave I've been experiencing extreme slowness. No idea what's causing it. Everything worked fine under High Sierra.I am attaching troubleshooting files and details here.Any support is appreciated.Geekbench score in High Sierra. https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/9880925 I have some other issues such as sleep not working but for now I'd at least like it to have the same speed as it did in High Sierra.My configuration: AsRock x79 Extreme 4 Xeon E5-1650 v2 - OC to 4.3GHz Kingston 16 GB RAM DDR3 1600 ECC - OC to 1866 MHz Asus GTX 760 mini 2 GB USB 3.0 add-in card FL1100 (Inateck KT4006) Samsung EVO 850 256GB SSD kextstat|grep -y acpiplat 14 1 0xffffff7f82912000 0x9c000 0x9c000 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform (6.1) 4423FFAE-7525-3F74-9E9D-E87EF1D43627 <13 12 11 7 6 5 4 3 1> kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu 35 0 0xffffff7f83180000 0x2a000 0x2a000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement (220.0.0) B8FECE19-759D-37D3-9615-E3C6C7F5F222 <7 6 5 4 3 1> 47 0 0xffffff7f8320e000 0x3000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient (220.0.0) 14247E5A-E9E1-338E-B86E-5525A4520891 <7 6 5 4 3 1> kextstat|grep -y applelpc 123 0 0xffffff7f829d3000 0x3000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleLPC (3.1) 2D0491D1-D130-346C-BCA3-BBC8A745FD00 <111 12 5 4 3> kextstat|grep -y applehda 119 1 0xffffff7f82524000 0x1d000 0x1d000 com.apple.driver.AppleHDAController (282.10) 1E3D72E3-0918-39C4-B0E7-4561D7915236 <118 108 88 12 7 6 5 4 3 1> 156 0 0xffffff7f826a7000 0xb7000 0xb7000 com.apple.driver.AppleHDA (282.10) 88DA0A6E-0D1C-3986-8C95-48A020DD5F77 <155 126 119 118 108 88 6 5 4 3 1> pmset -g assertions 2018-10-05 23:24:14 +0200 Assertion status system-wide: BackgroundTask 0 ApplePushServiceTask 0 UserIsActive 1 PreventUserIdleDisplaySleep 0 PreventSystemSleep 0 ExternalMedia 1 PreventUserIdleSystemSleep 0 NetworkClientActive 0 Listed by owning process: pid 57(powerd): [0x0000000600088002] 02:14:00 ExternalMedia named: "com.apple.powermanagement.externalmediamounted" pid 98(hidd): [0x00001ca400098506] 00:00:00 UserIsActive named: "com.apple.iohideventsystem.queue.tickle.4294968346.3" Timeout will fire in 600 secs Action=TimeoutActionRelease Kernel Assertions: 0xc=USB,BT-HID id=500 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.00600000 owner=IOUSBHostDevice id=502 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.00800000 owner=DataTraveler 3.0 id=503 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d100000 owner=IOUSBHostDevice id=504 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1a100000 owner=IOUSBHostDevice id=507 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d120000 owner=USB 2.0 Hub id=509 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d121000 owner=Microsoft® 2.4GHz Transceiver v7.0 id=510 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d124000 owner=USB Receiv id=511 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.1d123000 owner=BCM20702 id=512 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.00200000 owner=IOUSBHostDevice id=514 level=255 0x4=USB mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.usb.externaldevice.00220000 owner=Microsoft® LifeCam Cinema(TM) id=515 level=255 0x8=BT-HID mod=01/01/1970, 01:00 description=com.apple.driver.IOBluetoothHIDDriver owner=BNBTrackpadDevice Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler pmset -g System-wide power settings: Currently in use: standby 0 Sleep On Power Button 1 womp 0 halfdim 1 hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage powernap 0 autorestart 0 networkoversleep 0 disksleep 0 standbydelayhigh 86400 sleep 0 autopoweroffdelay 28800 hibernatemode 0 autopoweroff 0 ttyskeepawake 1 displaysleep 10 Standby Battery Threshold 50 standbydelaylow 0 system_profiler SPSerialATADataType|grep TRIM TRIM Support: No syslog.rtf EFI.zip Cezar’s Mac Pro ioreg.zip AML from patchmatic.zip

    Random hangs and freezes Mojave

YesI noticed that not only app launches were delayed but also simple shell commands (mount) which makes me believe that server receives a “little” more info than just cert validation requests... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Random hangs and freezes Mojave

Biiiig update. I fixed the issue. It appears that blocking ocsp.apple.com on your firewall can cause Mojave to retry for almost 1 minute the verification of an applications certification validity with their OCSP server. Don’t ask why I had it blocked, I just did.. )) More about OCSP: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_Certificate_Status_Protocol

    Random hangs and freezes Mojave

UPDATE 2: uploading EFI folder A little update here. Im not sure but I think this is related to some sort of new security measures Apple introduced in Mojave. The issue only seems to happen when a network connection exists. I filmed the behaviour with and without a network connection and the result is pretty remarkable. The launch time of a third party app is aprox. 1 minute when the computer is connected to the internet. The launch time when the connection is disabled is, well, instant, as it should be on a NVMe WD Black drive. Videos below: - connection enabled: https://youtu.be/OzRkciFslUg - connection disabled: https://youtu.be/1fRzUD6mtBk EFI.zip

    Random hangs and freezes Mojave

Thanks everyone for the replies. I tried a clean install on a different disk and then restored the installation on HFS, issues persist.Updated all efi drivers. Also removed a second SSDT for an older CPU that I have forgotten about after moving from Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge Any other thought?

    Random hangs and freezes Mojave

Well, just enabled it back and the OS still hangs. It's also virtually impossible to start any 3rd party app , even if it was installed from the App Store. Also, I am having issues writing this message, the cursor hangs each 5 seconds for about 5 seconds

Understood. But even with TRIM, the hangs and freezes were still there.

    Random hangs and freezes Mojave

Thank you for the quick support. I actually had it enabled and disabled it to see if it helps. It didn't. I can enable it again if you believe it will have an impact on troubleshooting results
  10. So you're saying this was an overheating problem?

Blank Screen after Apple boot logo

Boot from the USB, use disk utility to try to repair permissions. I'm not sure what the problem could be though. You say Mavericks booted fine. Try also using kext-dev-mode=1 and -v as boot flags. See if there's anything in the boot log that might give away the cause.

What kexts did you install? Did you install them in S/L/E? (that stands for System/Library/Extensions) Post your config.plist if you're using clover.
  13. Hi guys, I have an Asus USB-BT400 and a Broadcom BCM4322 wifi card. Tried the clover patch and the ContinuityActivationTool, no dice. Any help is appreciated. Newbie check for Yosmite build

Your system is AMD based. While it's not impossible to make it work, it will be more effort than an Intel system. I do not have much experience with AMD hanckintoshing but I suggest checking the AMD forum section.
  15. Hi there, Are you aware of the driver being changed in 10.10.3? Using the config.plist patch does not seem to work for me. Also, what exactly is being changed by the clover patch? I tried converting 6I2n//9miYM= from base64 to ASCII for example and I get nothing. Same applies to uLQWAABmiYM and probably the rest of the values. I want to understand better what is clover looking for and what it changes it with. Thank you.
  16. Did you go through http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282787-clover-v2-instructions/ ? It's the best place to start. Tip1: look for successful builds with your components. Tip2: you might want to get familiar with your DSDT. Download MaciASL and simply browse the code. Really, simply browse the code. Tip3: go to the clover wiki http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration#Config.plist-structure and build your config from the ground up by understanding what every option does. This is also where some of the information acquired while you browsed the DSDT will come in handy. That error is caused by OSX being unable to manage the CPU power and frequency states. I had the same when I was trying to use a borked SSDT. After 5 years of hackintoshing I can only suggest to try to learn more about clover (the only boot loader that actually works transparently) and also about the hackintosh project as a whole. Not understanding will make troubleshooting very difficult. Also, get familiar with the special terms: DSDT, SSDT, boot flags etc... Welcome to Hackintosh!

    Ozmosis

Hi crushers. Thats the image I have flashed now. The only difference is that I injected my own DSDT. I didnt try to reset the nvram yet. Will do and report back. But my post was really a call for more information on the functionality of this bootloader. i dont only want to make my motherboard work, I want to understand how Ozmosis works as there's no documentation on it and the Hermit Crab Labs' website on Tor is dead.

    Ozmosis

I successfully flashed a Gigabyte GA-B75N with an Ozmosis patched BIOS. I initially had OSX 10.10.2 installed and booting with chameleon meaning that I have a couple of Kexts in /S/L/E (FakeSMC+Sensor plugins; patched AppleHDA, . I can now boot that OSX installation directly from the "BIOS" without the help of a HDD installed bootloader. So.. huray! I have a custom DSDT with an integrated SSDT loaded in the BIOS and I know it works because when I'm loading the current install with Ozmosis, I have working graphics with non-patched Apple Frame Buffers (which is needed when you run a SandyBridge CPU on a 7 series board) and HW monitor shows me that the CPU speed changes based on load (which wouldn't happen without a custom SSDT). The phases that I went through: - review the contents of an already pached rom and compare with original from Gigabyte (MMTool) - didnt want to reinvent the wheel. - extract original DSDT (MaciASL) - patch the DSDT for HD3000 HDMI Audio, SandyBridge-intel 7 series bug, insert SSDT in DSDT (MaciASL) - inject new DSDT in rom containing Ozmosis (OZMTool) - extract ffs files from patched BIOS (OZMTool) - understand how to change/create new OzmosisDefaults.ffs (Kext2ffs) My vision: to boot the installer with 0 kexts (basically how a Mac does) and then use OSX with a minimum of kexts (preferably only Audio and maybe LAN) There are some chalenges that I am facing and I hope this amazing community can help: - as I said, the system now boots. But sometimes it doesnt.. really, nothing changes, I just boot, it gives a kernel panic, I reboot and then it boots successfully. I noticed that it complains about the sensor kexts and probably also FakeSMC. Q: Do I need FakeSMC in the BIOS considering there is an SMCEmulator in there? Are they the same thing? Q: Do I need the *Sensors in the BIOS? Q: Can I have them both in the BIOS and in /S/L/E? Q: Why do ffs files have an UUID in the name after extraction? Are those UUIDs needed for executing nvram commands? If yes, how? - I cannot boot the OSX installer. I created it from the command line as outlined here. It goes as far as DSMOS has arrived and then it restarts. I know this is vague but please.. bear with me. Q: Do I need to stuff some kext in the BIOS? Q: Do I need to change the OzmosisDefaults? Q: Do I need to add some boot args? Where can I find the UUIDs used by nvram? Are they the UUIDs of specific disks? The UDID of the computer? The UUIDs for ffs? Q: Is it posible that GA-B75N does not have writable nvram? How do I test? Additional Q: Q: Should I extract Ozmosis from F3a add it to the B75N .rom? Or is 1479 the latest version? I am planning to write a detailed guide for this motherboard. I built my first hackintosh in 2011 and was very happy with it. Fortunatelly for our community, Apple raises prices to ridiculous levels so the energy and motivation in our rows grows as well A big thank you in advance!

  24. same issue here on Lenovo T400. Guys, any link to an older post or some advice? Please, I think we're missing something here..
  25. Hi guys! I have one problem after installing iAtkos v7 Vanilla Kernel on a Lenovo T400. Almost all the components are working well, except the integrated wireless (intel 5100 AGN) which i wont expect to work in a close.. or far future. As well I was able to get native resolution on the video board which is an intel 4500MHD using the VESA hack that I found on one of your posts. Now, I dont mind that much that I dont have the QE/CI enabled but the fact that after exactly 5 minutes after I stop doing anything on the laptop (moving mouse, pressing keys) the image freezes. NOT THE COMPUTER! Just the image. I move the mouse and I can use the PC without any issue but I cant even watch a movie without keeping my hand on the mouse and move it at each 5 minutes. Please help me as this is the only issue that I have right now, except the fact that there are some popping sounds when I start to play music/movie (I'm using VoodooHDA on a CX20561) Thanks a lot! ______________________________________________________________________________ EDIT: OK, so, I found that the OS cannot put the display to sleep as there is no driver loaded (doooh). After disabling that there was no issue anymore. Still, I am trying to get rid of those popping sounds, I managed to get rid of them by installing AppleHDA and HDAenabler instead of VoodooHDA but no way to correctly shut down the PC. Work in progress...
