  1. To use unsigned kexts during first boot use bootflags rootless=0 and kext-dev-mode=1 The proper way of disable SIP later (I think) is to add to Clover's plist <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>0x67</string> <key>BooterConfig</key> <string>0x28</string> </dict> I found this somewhere in the forum and for me it is working perfectly.
  2. El Capitan and Asus P5QPL-AM

Checked the Console messages: Wake reason: EUSB Any tips from someone?
  3. El Capitan and Asus P5QPL-AM

No luck, the same issues... Edit: investigation shows, that flags kext-dev-mode=1 and rootless=0 are OBSOLETE. It is clear, that the following has to be used: <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>0x67</string> <key>BooterConfig</key> <string>0x28</string> </dict> Now I can reinstall VoodooHDA 2.8.8 and the rest unsigned kexts. Sound is now working properly, still working on sleep issue
  4. El Capitan and Asus P5QPL-AM

Hi Fabio, I know that by default it should be set to Mac Pro 3.1. But under Yosemite I had a perfectly stable machine with SMBIOS set to iMac11.1....Strange... I investigated further and I think it might be the problem with USB... I know that exist one utility with which you can test what wakes up / don't allow computer to go to sleep, but I forgot what it was, since I was doing that a long ago with SL... Will remove all the connected stuff, test with MP 3.1 and reply.
  5. Hello, I had a perfect Hackintosh with P5QPL-AM (ICH7) with everything working: - Lan (Atheros) - HD5670 (OTB) - ALC 887 (VoodooHDA) - BT dongle - with working sleep/wake The upgrade went perfectly OK with "rootless=0" added to Clover latest version... Post installation problems: - upon boot there is no picture until desktop loading logging window. - Voodoohda is not working anymore, when I want to try any version it says that it is not compatible with my version of OS. If I install it anyway, it does not work - onboard sound chip is not recognized. I disable onboard sound and drop an old PCI CMI8738 SB and put the kext from Lion 64bit. It is working great upon boot This might be acceptable (since it is old machine but: - sleep is not working - it immediately boots again - trying to put it to sleep breaks sound / only "cracks" are coming from speakers Everything else is working, Hack it is set to be an iMac 11,1 from late 2009 Any tips would be very much appreciated.
  6. VoodooHDA - common problems

Exactly the same here. Doing several things (disabled onboard audio, removing all the rest of the audio kexts, inserting device ID...) Voodoo Preference Pane does not work - it is inactive. It can not be uninstalled through normal procedure (Right click + Delete), only manually. In this case the complete "Bundled Voodoo Package" is deleted with single stroke in Clean My Mac - Uninstall App Any hints?
  7. Another success with HD4570m following guide in post 20. Fully working with 1366 x 768 with QE/CI on Acer Aspire 5738G, 10.7.2. Have to test HDMI output..... EDIT: Did the following: - check the kext versions to see if they are 64bit ready (Yes) - removed Evo and other stuff to get CPUPowermanagement going - Cleared kernel cashe - Moved everything from E/E to S/L/E - Repaired permissions - Edit Chameleon bootfile to use kernelcache - Reboot - Checked HDMI output (works without sound*) Voila, HD4570m works fully on 64 bit Aspire 5738G... * Gush I played once with all sort of versions of VoodooHDA - could not find the appropriate one
  8. Hello to you all After having an almost perfect Mac, I wanted to install Snow leopard also to Aspire Type: 5738G CPU: Core 2 duo RAM: 4 GB SATA: 500GB Hitachi GRAPHIC: Mobility HD 4570 512 MB The rest not so important at the moment. So, I burned the iso, booted it and get stucked at Trackpad kext.... I tried all possible combinations with - GraphicEnabler=No - Arch= - Cpus= - BusRatio= -v -x Bios is pain in the ass - the only thing to do is to boot with default values and set SATA mode to AHCI. What am I missing / doing wrong?
  9. ATi HD5000 BootLoader !

Than It should be removed from first post....
  10. ATi HD5000 BootLoader !

I am on the same boat... Trying everything, but so far no success with my "68da"
  11. rhd 5500/5600/5830

I have exactly the same situation with the "hard one": HD5550
  12. ATi HD5000 BootLoader !

After trying all sorts of things, this is all I can get: Graphics: Chipset Model: Unknown Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: Slot-1 PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x68da Revision ID: 0x0000 ROM Revision: 113-B7710C-176 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.318 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1400 x 1050 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Display Connector: Display Connector: PCI: Name: ATY,Megalodon Type: display Driver Installed: Yes Bus: PCI Slot: Slot-1 Vendor ID: 0x1002 Device ID: 0x68da Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1787 Subsystem ID: 0x2297 Revision ID: 0x0000 Link Width: x16 Link Speed: 2.5 GT/s Any tips? I see during boot that ATI5000...kext fail to load.
  13. rhd 5500/5600/5830

Ok a lot of talking of 5600 series...what about 5500? I have HD5550 device id x68da, which I can not get to work. If I understood you guys correctly, that installing only Aty-init, the card should show in system profile as ATI 5500 Series? Mine not.
  14. ATi HD5000 BootLoader !

Ok. I installed Hexedit and load Ati5000cont. plist file into it. Isn't this way the same as changing- adding device ID with Textedit . Sorry, I know that this is a noob questions... Kabyl, You said that kexts should be binary patched. With what values or device ID only....
  15. ATi HD5000 BootLoader !

OK edit and adding device ID is easy, but playing around with binary patching from terminal ...I am not that good I will be very thankful if someone is able to do it for me....
