I'm pretty new to OSX on notebooks, but vaguely familiar with the process. Looking to purchase an ASUS netbook, primarily the 1015PED-PU17 in black, I would like to see if anyone things OSX could be installed later on. Win7 Starter is fine for what I need, but I would really like OSX later on, is this even (in)conceivable(!)?

Who buys a computer at Guitar Center? That just sounds retarded... Anyways, that sounds like a great setup for pretty cheap! I'd buy it if I had the cash =(

I've been everywhere trying to figure this one out. A while ago, I had 10.5.2 installed with no hardware acceleration from my 4870 (drivers were not available) so I gave up and erased the partition. Now, it seems the drivers are available and I can get what I want. However, I can't remember how I got the first bit to work. I have: ASUS P5Q-Deluxe AMD ATi 4870 512MB PCI-e 120GB on a partitioned drive available A Kalyway 10.5.5 OSx86 Disc I flashed the motherboard BIOS back when I did the first installation so I still have that. I installed OS X to the partition and it installed just fine, but when I go to boot up into OSX I get the apple logo with the thinking circle and then a little logo pops up that looks like a no smoking sign without the cigarette. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm really new at this too but I've gotten Kalyway installed on my P5Q Deluxe [ASUS] Have you gotten any of those disks even loaded through Darwin? I only know about Darwin because that is what my Kalyway disk used, I don't know if others use it too or if there are other versions of it. I'm not much help, but I'll try to give you as much as I can.

I've got an ASUS P5Q Deluxe Mobo with a Modded BIOS in it and OSX 10.5.2 is installed just fine. Vista was installed first and now I'd like to get the bootloader working so I don't have to change BIOS settings every time to load OSX instead of Vista. I have tried using EasyBCD 1.7.2 but I am getting a "Chain Booting Error" everytime I try to load OSX from the bootloader. Vista loads just fine. Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, I have just learned about the amazing possibility of running OSX on a "PC" and I'd love to join in on the action! I just hope I can get some help with it. My Hardware: ASUS P5Q Deluxe Intel Core2Quad 9450 4GB DDR1000 RAM So far, I have gotten a copy of "iATKOS_5i.iso", I hope that was a good move. If anyone could help me with getting OSX on my computer, I would really appreciate it! I am pretty smart about computers but I need help with this. Thanks in advance! -David
