  1. Best torrent software to use with Ubuntu

    rtorrent for me
  2. AnV Chameleon boot loader

Sorry to say , but you are a drama queen PolishOX ! Wonder why there is so much hate in this thread , Andy fixed problems with the code in chameleon and instead of people being happy and enjoy his work it's all about omg he's ripping of chameleon's team work etc etc ... Pff ... hopefully the chameleon team will take his improvements and make use of it (if they didn't fix it before) , been waiting for the new release but i totally dislike your approach on this matter PolishOX .
  3. 10.5.6 Released!

Yeah same , at the moment i just went for a fresh 10.5.4 then updated itunes + safari + ran the combo update for 10.5.6 that i had downloaded and updated like that . Everything is fine since the mouse lags issue comes from QuickTime itself . I do want to see this fixed tho , the initial image corruption + mouse lags means there is some incompatibilty at least with some of the 8800's , this is quite puzzling . We need some user with a macpro + 8800GT and some time to do some testing . By the way what about startup time ? is it taking you the same as before ? bit faster ? for me it seems a bit slower (the spinning thing , before it would spin 3 times and load desktop , now it's 4 or more (most of times more).
  4. 10.5.6 Released!

Probably that is due to problems in the new drivers , i get some weird colored lines mixed up with what desktop looked like before rebooting for a second when i boot up leopard . In games etc is fine , only other problem with it is after installing the newest quicktime + h.264 thingie and opening itunes or quicktimes it causes small mouse lags every 10 seconds or so . Speaking of wich ... think i will take a picture next time i do it , put my camera into some use lol
  5. 10.5.6 Released!

Just tested WOW and it worked ok , do you have a weird glitch when your Leopard starts up with the 9800 ? I noticed that it varies a bit depending on the efi string but i can always see it (as some others that posted in this thread) . But wow ran fine with no glitches etc , but when starting up Leopard for a second a corrupt image pops up (for examplea bunch of different colors in lines etc)
  6. 10.5.6 Released!

Did anyone try running games or so with a 880 gt or so yet ? guess i will have to try wow or so in a bit . Doesn't look too good with this "corruption" when starting up Leopard etc . Wonder if they somehow messed up the graphics for 8800's overall . To avoid this lag {censored} for now i just avoided upgrading quicktime , but even the people who claim to not have lag issues with quicktime and itunes upgraded seem to have the weird graphic glitch when starting Leopard wich is making me a bit scared of what apple might have done
  7. 10.5.6 Released!

Yeah Luv , was for everyone with the lag issues , maybe we need some new efi string now for our cards , might be something that only some of ours have that is causing this issue
  8. 10.5.6 Released!

By the way out of interest , if you have mouse lags in itunes etc what 8800GT card do you have ? I have a XFX 8800GT , post yours to see if there is anything similar .
  9. 10.5.6 Released!

Meh ... tried a bunch of EFI strings and different 10.5.6 packs and install methods and always the itunes lag problem . There is no mouse lags if i dont install the drivers obviously only after using the efi string things go wrong
  10. 10.5.6 Released!

K , let us know of how it goes please . But well there are new drivers in this update , thing is that only some people are facing this issue , something like 50/50 on terms of people affected and people not affected atm (with 8800gt cards anyway) . When i launch itunes i get no errors etc on console so it's making figuring out te issue a bit harder
  11. 10.5.6 Released!

Yeah same , has to be something wich is causing this thing ... I never had any trouble before this update , machine was always fast . What can it be hmm ...
  12. 10.5.6 Released!

What efi string are you using etc ? It's nice that you have no problems with this update but sucks for the ones who had everything working and now are facing all this issues :c . What's worst is that if we can't figure out what is the problem we will be doomed in the future maybe . cheers , off to try another install method to see if i have any luck !
  13. 10.5.6 Released!

Guess i will do a fresh install and update again to see if can fix the mouse lags issues , so far no one seems to know what is the problem , some have it some don't ... meh
  14. 10.5.6 Released!

Thanks MacUser , but for me i still get mouse lags , damned thing
  15. 10.5.6 Released!

same for me please : )
