  1. I updated the kexts but im still having slow transfer rates?? Im also getting pretty poor benchmark results with Xbench when it comes to the disk test
  2. yeah its pretty simple good luck as for it being overclocked, im using a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 cooler which keeps it cool enough

Hey CameronB im still having issues with slow hd transfer rates (ie transfering files from hd to usb, or hd to another hd) i've got my osx drive (320gb sata) connected to the orange sata port and everything else to the red ports ive got a seperate 1tb with windows 7 connected to a red port another 1tb hitachi connected to a red port and my dvd drive connected to a red port a total of 4 sata ports are used im running 10.6.2 and using the kexts u provided other than the slow transfer rates, everything seems to be fine here are my specs: Asus P6T Core i7 920 overclocked to 3.6ghz 320gb seagate sata 1tb western digital black caviar sata 1tb hitachi something sata LG DVDRW sata drive nvidia geforce 9600 6gb DDR3 OCZ platinum pc3 12800
  4. what i did was 1) replace the kexts folder in the p6t essentials with the 10.6.2 kexts that are on cameron's site 2) download the 10.6.2 combo update 3) run the 3_MacLoader and said No to the EFI thingy 4) Installed combo update (but didnt restart yet) 5) I ran the 3_MacLoader again just to make sure, cause last time it wouldnt let me after upgrading to 10.6.2 6) Restart by the way, im running the loader on a seperate usb key
  5. I just followed CameroB's guide and i'm all updated to 10.6.2 the only problem now is im experiencing slow transfer rates from my main hard drive to USB or from main hard drive to another hard drive??? how can i resolve the slow transfer rates? thanks

  7. Hey, Is it possible to get OSX to detect my pci-bus or ethernet ports? I have a Shuttle SN27P2 AM2 AMD X2 4600+. The usb ports work fine. Thanks

    Yeah I've installed the Ralink drivers, but osx still doesn't detect it neither does the ralink app it says device is not connected or something do i have to modify the IO80211Family.kext or something??? what do i do??? i installed the r61cardbusdriver from ralink btw, is 6mb/s hard drive speed normal for an ide connection??? how can i speed that up as well?? thanks again

Although, F8 doesn't work for some reason I used -x to get into safe mode Now I need to get my wireless working I've got a linksys wmp54g ven1814 dev0314 version 4.4 How can I get this to work?? By the way, did you get ur sata2 drives to work in osx??? im thinking about installing osx on my sata2 drive, but it won't detect it

    i got it to work turns out the ide was labelled 1 so if i did root(hd1,0) it works the only thing now is, i screwed up my display booooooo i loaded macvidia drivers i set it to 1440x900 and everything was smooth then i was curious as to what would happen if i set higher than my native display now its all crazy how do i force it to a resolution of 1024x768 so i can change it later

    actually it does work if i boot directly to the ide drive its definetly a prob with wingrub you think it might be because i have it as a slave drive the master is the dvd drive

    the partition list detects it, but i had to add it to the menu list i installed osx by just puting the dvd in my drive and selecting the ide harddrive to install i converted the ide into a mac journaled (extended) partion before putting osx on it

    yeah it won't boot i remember when i was playing around with the menu list, i got the usb to boot i think it just involves labeling the ide drive correctly in the menulist i took a pic of the current partition list in wingrub that is how it is set up now how should i change my menu list with my current partition list setup again, thanks for the help

    I was able to boot with the usb drive with no problems before i added the ide and started messing with the menu list how would i go abouts booting the ide drive directly??? I've got 4 drives connected to my comp C: 320gb SATA D: 320gb SATA E: External 200gb -I have 20gb partioned for MacOSX And a 8gb IDE drive that is just for MacOSX
