  1. ALC889a - No Sound on ML DP4

SUCCESS!! It works, and it's perfect (so far). Thank you JamesLittler and everyone who tried to help. You guys rock!
  2. Best videocard for Mountain Lion?

    GTX 460 Hawk 1GB works fine with GraphicsEnabler=Yes on 10.7 and 10.8
  3. ALC889a - No Sound on ML DP4

Also i realized ALC885HDA.kext is not loading. It's in S/L/E and properly installed, but non showing up in loaded kexts. EDIT: Now realized in Console system.log says "com.apple.kextcache[301]: ALC885HDA.kext is not authentic; omitting." Does it ring a bell? Not to me
  4. ALC889a - No Sound on ML DP4

    Here's my dsdt (GA-EP45-DQ6 mobo) dsdt.zip
  5. ALC889a - No Sound on ML DP4

Same here. I've tried ALC885HDA_Lion_MLion_V1.00.zip. It shows up as a 885 device in System Profiler. But in System Preferences ther is no sound output, nothing.
  6. Hi! I've installed lion using this guide. On my 200GB and 500GB hdd's it runs fine. But when i install on my other 1TB disk os doesn't boot. I can boot 1TB installation using USB. I have installed Chameleon on the HDD but it doesn't boot, even to the Chameleon screen. It hangs up on a black screen and i'm forced to hard reset my machine. I reinstalled the system over and over again, still no luck to boot off the disk itself. My previous Snowleo install was booting fine on same disk. I even copied working (10.7) extra folders and kexts over to the 1TB disk. No luck again. Any ideas? Thanks.
  7. GTX460 - No QE/CI in Lion GM

Indeed it's working Thanks for the heads up! I didn't realize the dashboard ripple was there, just needed to disable mission control setting. Haven't tested 3D games or whatever but it's working now Thank you all
  8. Supported Graphics cards with Full QE/QI

OK, one more (noobish) question: Where can i learn my card's spesific id? Never mind, found it
  9. Supported Graphics cards with Full QE/QI

Is this 560 Ti spesific or should it work for other fermi cards, like mine GTX 460 1GB? My GTX 460 doesn't work (No QE/CI), how did you manage that?
  10. GTX460 - No QE/CI in Lion GM

Yes, you can check it by adding a new widget in dashboard and no it hasn't been change, ripple effect remains in Lion (i have a Mac mini with lion installed), but i do not have it on my hackintosh when adding a new widget. There are some success stories around with fermi cards though. But i don't have a clue how...
  11. GTX460 - No QE/CI in Lion GM

Hi. I have installed lion GM and seen my GTX460 Hawk 1GB stuck at 1024x768. I've added GraphicsEnabler=Yes string in boot.plist. Now i have native and other resolutions enabled but no QE/CI support (hardware acceleration). I also tried Nvidia Quadro drivers from tonymac and this broke my boot (black screen come and go at startup, no desktop showing). Is there any fixes? Thanks
  12. Hey, i have a question: I've followed the steps, restored Lion installer onto my usb thumb drive, installed Extra package successfuly. But when i tried to installed Chameleon RC5 onto usb drive installer shows a yellow triangle on my usb and says "Chameleon RC5 can't be installed on this disk. You can only install this software on the disk that is running Mac OS X". So any suggestions?
  13. Anyone tried 10.6.4? It's out now. Is it gonna be the same procedure? Install update, before restart remove SleepEnabler.kext and copy the new one? By the way if so we'll need a new 10.6.4 compatible sleepenabler.kext
  14. Hi, sometimes when i try to shutdown the computer, it gives a kernel panic after it quits all left open apps. Then i realize it does this only after about 10 or 15 minutes of use, which means probably when my other hdds are put to sleep. from Energy Saver settings, i've disabled hard disk seleeping but i have an external usb drive which i use for time machine backups and i can't prevent it to put itself to sleep after a while. Is there any solution for this? Gigabyte EP45 DQ6, Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB (NV80), 4Gig Ram
  15. This is my third Snow Leo installation, i have no problem connecting to internet, no problem with network but anytime i launch Software Update it waits about 15 seconds then gives the following error: Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem. Software Update can’t connect to the update server. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet, and then try again. Any ideas? This is not a hackintosh problem, in fact it is a common Snow Leopard problem. Solution is: 1- Go to System Settings / Network 2- From Locations create a new location and make the settings for that new location. 3- Voila! Problem (should be) solved. Go to Software Update and give it a shot!
