    Problem with graphics

I'm having the same problem as you. I'm missing the plist files for the video drivers. Right now I'm typing this in a fixed res with no video acceleration. I thought it was a pandoras box problem but I'm not so sure now.
  2. OK! I'm confused! ....and it doesn't happen often.... but where is the installer for trunk 1187? I cant find it anywhere in the original post even though its in the title of the actual post.
  3. Use cartri's bios and follow the directions with the bios. Couldn't be simpler! The bios will also run windows flawlessly. been using it for months without a single KP min win but especially mac. www.cartri.net

    Best Hackintosh motherboard for i7

Go to www.cartri.net and look in the bios table there. Find one of the i7 boards that best fits your needs with the 889a audio chip. The bios is not out yet but when it does come out it will be the closest thing to a real mac you cam make!
  5. This website did nothing to my iphone. I went to both the original site and the one posted on the front page and it did nothing. Am I missing something? 3gs 32gb with 4.0.1
  6. I finally fixed my long standing sleep issue! If anybody is having a problem getting their ud3r board to auto sleep, try diableing the EIST function in the bios. Then do a full shut down and disconnect the power from the supply for about 20 sec. When you turn on your system again you should have sleep operational. I was finally able to get rid of PleaseSleep! Now I have to get Voodoo Power Mini working or cartri will put the speed stepping in his bios -which ever comes first!
  7. Damn! Thats not it. I checked and it does report 0. Thanks for the try though. Back to the drawing board.
  8. Thankss for the advice but unfortunately I have a pioneer drive: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D: Firmware Revision: 1.22 Interconnect: ATAPI Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive) Cache: 2000 KB Reads DVD: Yes CD-Write: -R, -RW DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO Media: To show the available burn speeds, insert a disc and choose View > Refresh I did a test to see if it was the ide drives causing this problem but it had no effect when I disconnected them from the mobo and restarted from a cold start. I am using my GTX260 with the following strings in my com.apple.Boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>6c0200000100000001000000600200000d00000002010c00d041030a010000000101060000010 101060000007fff04000e0000004e00560050004d0000002000000001000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000220000005600520041004d002c0074006f00740061006c00730 069007a006500000008000000000000381c0000006400650076006900630065005f00740079007000 650000000f0000004e5644412c506172656e740e0000006e0061006d00650000000b0000006469737 06c617922000000400030002c006400650076006900630065005f00740079007000650000000b0000 00646973706c617922000000400031002c006400650076006900630065005f0074007900700065000 0000b000000646973706c6179100000006d006f00640065006c0000001a0000006e56696469612047 65466f726365204754582032363020000000400031002c0063006f006d00700061007400690062006 c00650000000e0000004e5644412c4e564d616314000000400030002c006e0061006d006500000012 0000004e5644412c446973706c61792d4114000000400031002c006e0061006d00650000001200000 04e5644412c446973706c61792d4220000000400030002c0063006f006d0070006100740069006200 6c00650000000e0000004e5644412c4e564d6163100000004e0056004300410050000000180000000 4000000000003000c00000000000007000000001e00000072006f006d002d00720065007600690073 0069006f006e0000002e0000006e5669646961204765466f7263652047545820323630204f70656e4 74c20456e67696e65205b4546495d</string> </dict> </plist> Could any of this this be a possible problem?
  9. Hey guys, I am using the cartri .7m bios on my ud3r! I have a q9550 and a gtx 260 as well. I've had some random panics but I'm hoping that they are due to my overclocking (I've turned it down a bit since then and had no problems). I still have a problem with automatic sleep. I've tried a new system on a fresh HD and still no go! I've heard others making this work, but I think I have a hardware issue. I had this problem when I was using a DSDT file as well. The program Please Sleep has made automatic sleep possible but I want to get as perfect a setup as possible now. No, I'm not running Istat menus or any other system add-ons. I have unplugged all usb devices as well. I tried with a fresh install following all the instructions in the PDF. Anybody with any clues?

    Chameleon RC4 is out!

I don't know if this has been suggested, i even did a quick search in this topic but didn't find it. What about putting a radio button for switching between 32 bit and 64 bit kernel flags? Also one for booting consistently in verbose mode? I think that would add a bunch of functionality for average users as well as power users. I'm sure it would be easy for someone who knows what they are doing to insert the values into the com.apple.Boot.plist file via the pref pane.
  11. Thanks for the sympathy. I stayed up late last night and found a workaround. I read in another tread about someone with the same problem. Someone suggested to them that an application or a process was keeping the mac from sleeping then they had a link to an application called PleaseSleep. It solved all my problems! I now have a fully functioning Hackintosh!
  12. Anybody having trouble getting automatic sleep working? I can manually put it to sleep but auto sleep only turns off the monitor and nothing else. I have 10.6.2 on a ud3r with a q9550 and a GTX260. I'm using the DSDT file from the pack with fake smc 2.5. I have tried all the bios settings for suspend, C2 & 4 states and eist as well. I've also enabled and disabled every extension in the extras folder. Everything is working except for auto sleep! Anybody have a clue? It's especially frustrating when I installed a copy of 10.6 on another drive and that sleeps well before the 10.6.2 update, now it does not!
  13. Good for you! I did the same! After years of buying mac hardware I said enough! I just gave my in-laws my mini and built myself a hackintosh for $600. One that would cost me over 2 thousand in apple hardware. I have a ud3r with a q9950 running at 3825 Mhz and a GTX260! Suck on that Apple!
