  1. It definitely seems to be a problem with dual nvidia cards. There was a previous post on using 25.106 for 2xGTX1080Ti, and I'm using 25.106 for 1xGTX980 and 1xGTX1080Ti. 35.106 no luck at all with dual (multiple) nvidia cards.

    nVidia injection

AppleGraphicsPolicy.EFI called the card UEFI VBIOS for e.g. GTX680 Mac. NVMT & boot-display are injected by the UEFI VBIOS on the card itself after mode setting. So it should be injected by Clover or Ozmosis using the values of the current video mode after mode setting. It is similar to an XFree86 modeline: http://www.arachnoid.com/modelines/ # 640x480 @ 60.00 Hz (GTF) hsync: 29.82 kHz; pclk: 23.86 MHz Modeline "640x480_60.00" 23.86 640 656 720 800 480 481 484 497 -HSync +Vsync

    nVidia injection

Old post, but I thought I'd share some info... NVMT contains the Nvidia Mode TImings for the active display mode. You can look at GTF/CEA spec or look at the XFree86 modelines utility to understand the values. The NVIDIA graphics driver calculates a list of 'Heads' (using the valid head values for each DCB entry in the DCB). This is an index into each Head per card. AppleGraphicsPolicy will loop through each head and pull the EDID from the display attached to each head. It calculates the mode timings by picking the best mode from the EDID & card modes. AGP then tries to set that mode into the display (using the NVIDIA Mac EFI driver) - if setting the display mode is successful then that display is picked as the boot display and the Head index (as above) and the NVMT are written into the io-reg table. ISTR Boot-Display is only written into the active card. If no active displays are found on the primary card AGP will loop to the next card, etc.

    Ozmosis

folks - I have a ga-x79-up4 & i7-4930k (ivb-e). currently running bios f7. I've tried all bios' back to f4 and none have unlocked nvram for this board. there are earlier non ivb-e support bios' on tweaktown (f3*), but i'm not sure if: a) they have unlocked nvram I can update those older bios with ivb-e support on the recommendation of some of this thread I already tried removing the nvramsmi module from the bios with uefitool and flashing, but that was no go. causes a reboot on boot OSX. i'm looking for ideas on what else to try? the scewin_64 approach gives nothing (nvram.txt contains nothing useful). am I right in the understanding I've garnered that the issue is that the gigabyte boards don't have backward compatibility for uefi 1.x calls due to a newer ami aptio, only uefi 2.3.x, as opposed to a simple lock that is on asus? or is this wide of the mark? sorry - trying to get up speed on the issue and read as much as I can, but info in this area is hard to come by. let me know if there's anything I can share that might help you to help me ... (bios, nvram.txt, etc).

    Attansic L1 Driver Project

This also breaks for me. I figure it is an issue with multicast traffic. It seems to work for some time after boot, and then die out, and I need to reboot to get multicast back.

    GMA X3500 Working with QE/CI/OpenGL/Rotation

steveo, Sort of works - sorry for the untechnical description, I'm not up to speed on OSX debugging yet. 1st boot: grey screen of death 2nd boot: worked for around 5 minutes before grey screen of death. FWIW I started downloading VLC and opened the downloads window in safari, if that uses anything specific. I now have a full list of video modes available. Intel GMA X3100: Chipset Model: GMA X3100 Type: Display Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 144 MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x2982 Revision ID: 0x0003 Displays: Display Connector: Status: No display connected N19W: Resolution: 1440 x 900 @ 60 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Rotation: Supported Does the kernel drop core/backtrace somewhere I can collect for you? GMA X3000 Working with QE/CI/OpenGL/Rotation

I'll send you an lspci from my P5E-VM HDMI very shortly - is there anything else you need? PM me any details. I've just built a brand new box using Kalyway 10.5.2, would be great to get these drivers working with the X3500. ... edit ... lspci is now in your PMs...
