  1. Has anyone got this to work on the official release of Sierra? I used Floris Pixel Clock CoreDisplay-patcher with the club3d CAC-1070 DP to HDMI adapter on GTX 760 and was working in El Capitan, but can only get 3840x2160x30Hz, but not 60Hz. Thanks.
  2. Dammit guys. I only asked a simple question. If you don't have any response specific to my question, then I'd rather you not respond. Whether it was a knocked off is irrelevant to my request for info. Moderator please close this thread.
  3. Thread revival... Are there any Korean Hackintosh Protege can get me a couple of these chocolate to chew on? I am only looking to do light work on them, so Atom processor is fine. Wonder if it's upgradable to core 2 duo and 2GB of RAM. My only concern is the power supply. Steve
  4. Sunkid, I know Halloween is over, but now you got me spooked. I am planning to use my Hackintosh built for Video Editing and about to connect the FireWire 4p/4p from my motherboard's IE1394 to my Canon XL2. If I don't get an alarm from the good folks on this thread, I will proceed. Steve
  5. Hi MacUser2525, Before I patch the ps2 keyboard, one question....Regarding functionality, is there any keys in the ps2 keyboard that the new USB apple aluminum (bluetooth/USB) can't do? If not, I'll just go buy the Apple USB keyboard and still be able to use it for Windows such as Parallels desktop. Thanks, Steve
  6. Well, I patched the sound and got it show up in system profiler and working; however, the ps2 keyboard is now shot, perhaps the sound kexts screwed it up. Is there a patch for the ps2 keyboard that will just fix the keyboard w/o screwing anything else up? Or do I need to go buy a USB keyboard? Thanks, Steve
  7. I used iDeneb 10.5.5. and install without issue. In fact, I am replying this message from the very Leopard machine I just built. Sound still not working, so I need to download proper kext from this thread and patch it. Nexidus, I know you're about to pull your hair out, but give iDeneb 10.5.5 a try. If successful, you are done, no need for combo updates. Your BIOS settings appear to be correct. Thanks MacUser2525 and Generic George for all your help. Cheers, Steve
  8. It will be awhile before I can get my hands on Kalyway 10.5.1. I've been playing with the boot flags. Hit F8 to get into boot options. boot with -x -F now gets me to the grey apple logo, but the wheel has been spinning for like 30 minutes with no DVD activity as I type this. Steve
  9. Thanks MacUser2525 for chiming in... Remove the jumper on the Seagate from limiting 3.0 GBPS (found out that jumper for 1.5 GBPS), so it's now jumperless. Seagate is SATA0 SATA DVD is now SATA1 Still not able to see the install GUI.... Got the Apple wallpaper, then Preparing Install screen, then getting the Install Log - Show Error Only halted by root and shut down by itself. Now I am clueless noob.... Steve
  10. I've disabled everything except AHCI in the Integrated Peripherals and still does not work. I am sure my new Seagate HDD does not come with HFS, should it be? Also, it's set to Cable Select, should I force this Primary on SATA 0? My Samsung SATA DVD/RW drive is also on Cable Select, should this be forced to Slave? Current on SATA 2. Outside of that, I am out of options. Perhaps, I will need to use other distros, such as iDeneb or others. Steve
  11. George, thanks for effort. Disable Firewire in the bios did not help... More details regarding my install... If I do not hit F8, then I will get "/com.apple.Boot.plist" not found and then I get ....hd (128,0) ethernet pxe client and it goes no where. If I hit F8, also tried -v -x, I will get the language screen and preparing installation, then it gives me a install error log, then automatically shut my computer off. Still don't understand why other folks have no trouble with Kalyway 10.5.2 on this board, yet with my minimal setup, all SATA drives, it just won't install. Thanks, Steve
  12. Hi, Noob here Just bought this board and having problem getting to the install GUI. Install Method: Enable AHCI in Sata Controller BIOS (This is all I did to BIOS) Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Problem: Got to the language screen and the Preparing Installation screen. But then screen went gray and shut the computer off. Hardware: GA-EP45-DS3R (BIOS F10) Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel EVGA 8800 GT SATA SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3160815AS 160GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA Any help is appreciated.
