  1. Hi all, I've been playing with Mac OS X on normal PCs for quite a few years already and never had any serious issues. Until recently I was having Yosemite installed on first HDD (GPT) and Windows 8.1 installed on second HDD (MBR), the Mac HDD was set as primary and dual-booting with Chameleon without any issues. I have decided to buy myself an SSD (Samsung 840 EVO, 250GB) and install on in Windows, Mac and also leave about 100GB free space for a 3rd partition. SSD has a GPT partition table, first installed Windows and then Yosemite, no issues and was able to dual boot. The problem is I simply could not format the third partition in EXFAT (or any other format) so it would be visible in both systems. If I was formating it under Yosemite, Windows wouldn't see it nor I could mount it, while trying to format it in Windows the system was pushing me to covert my partitions table to a dynamic one (tried once and broke everything). I've tried the other way around - first installing Mac and then Windows, the result was more or less the same. Wither I was breaking one of the systems or I would end up having both but loosing the additional space. I know that both systems create additional hidden drives, Windows, 2 or 3 and Mac need an additional one as well. I need an advise and maybe an easy guide how can I achieve the following: 1 SSD (GPT): Partition 1: Windows (80GB) Partiton 2: Yosemite (60GB) Partition 3: Media (EXFAT, ~110GB) I still can install Mac on HDD, but once I saw how quick it is on the SSD, I'll fight to achieve what I want Thank you in advance.
  2. Intel HD 4600 not working (Mavericks 10.9.2)

I'm also having problems with HD4600 (i5-5670K/GA-Z87-HD3) except I have my monitor connected via HDMI, tried everything stated above and have no luck Have no idea what else to try...
  3. OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 to dev

Did anyone notice any NVidia Maxwell support in the new builds, maybe? I've ordered myself a new GTX750Ti and only then I figured it out it's actually still not supported by Mac OS X..
  4. I've installed Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 using this guide (Method 2). Installation went successfully, since I have already an working SL build and Chameleon, I just had to replace the Kernel. Whatever Kernel I'd use, I would get instant reboot. I have tried all mentioned flags, and different combinations of them, searched the forum around and couldn't find any solutions. I have to mention that I always had a fully working build on my PC, SL was installed from retail disk with just a few kexts added, and everything else working OOB, just can't make my Lion install work. Update: unfortunately trying to boot Niresh's Lion build would result in exactly the same behaviour Any ideas of any kexts which would cause this? Could it be cause by an old version of Chameleon?

  6. [AMD] 10.7.3 Guide - Experimental Only

Hi everyone, I have a perfectly working SL on my Athlon X2 5600+/Asus M2N-SLi/GTS250. I've used method number 2 to install Lion on my PC, everything went smooth, replaced the kernel, but I get instant reboot after loading it. I've tried all possible flags which I could find around the forum, it just loads the kexts and then - boom and restarts.. Any ideas what could cause it? Any kext which is not supposed to be there? Thanks in advance
  7. Chameleon Wizard - Utility for Chameleon.

Hi, I posted this in another forum also, but I think it's worth to post here also. I've been struggling lately to configure my Chameleon, to be honest it looks like it's not listening to me at all, I tried to change boot.plist file in my Extra folder and also in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder, still nothing, tried to use Chameleon Wizard to reinstall it, nothing, I would like to hide some partitions, install a theme and do some other tweaks, I can't even figure out how to boot in 32bit mode, adding -arch=i386 at the prompt doesn't help, thus can't really figure out why I get really choppy flash videos (except Youtube in Chrome, which works very well) Have been browsing the forum many times for an answer, no luck, and I'm not quite the biggest noob in looking for something and/or configuring my OSx86 machine. Thanks in advance for answers and help.

  9. Thank you for your replies, I somehow managed to boot it, but in the end I had to make a fresh install, as I couldn't fix my WiFi, so for now I'll stay with 10.6.7.
  10. I had a perfectly working 10.6.4 running on my hardware, untill I decided to upgrade to 10.6.8 following the guide from here and using the combo update. I installed the custom 10.8 kernel according to the guide. after restart I've got the KP [see attachment] I've been trying many things, boot with -f flag, create new .mkext, installing AppleACPIPlatform.kext & IOPCIFamily.kext from 10.6.7, nothing helped, not even being able to boot with -s. I was looking for a solution for days now already, and I'm out of ideas, so any other ideas and help will be really appreciated!
  11. 10.5.7 Released

Installed last night on my system with ASU, its was too slow so i downloaded it from the site... installed ok, rebooted, could not load my voodoo kernel, i guess it was overwritten, tried AnV's, booted up only with -x -f, deleted AppleCPUManagement.kext, reinstalled the Voodoo Kernel, System.kext and Seatbelt.kext, rebooted and everything works lika a charm..
