    El Capitan HD

May I suggest adding a OSX version check at the start of the installer? for those who may miss this requirement (like me )... It seems I can't avoid the slow USB install for the first time, sigh...

    El Capitan HD

Thanks. It only works on a machine running El Capitan?

    Clover General discussion

I wonder how I can do a clean reinstall of Clover. Even after reformatting the EFI partition, the Clover installer still shows that it is an "upgrade" (against the customized options checkboxes). Where does it get that information?

    New Driver for Realtek RTL8111

Indeed. Soon after I did the tests with the debug kext's (yours and also the one I compiled myself) and posted the log, I then wanted to find out the values of the various variables that determine wolCapable. So I add the line IOLog("Ethernet [RealtekRTL8111]: mcfg %d; options1 %d; options2 %d; wolCapable %d; wol %d\n", tp->mcfg, options1, options2, wolCapable, wol); /* Set wake on LAN support. */ wolCapable = wolCapable && wol; This gave me a shocking result: both wolCapable and wol were true and my NIC all of a sudden became WoL capable! Then I reverted back to all the original kext's I tried before (1.2.3, 2.0.0d2 release kext). They all worked. This is weird. I don't think I have changed any other settings in between. I have also found out that though WoL works, it is like dark wake. The screen remains blank and after around 30 seconds, it goes back to sleep again. I add the boot option "darkwake=0" then WoL becomes full wake.

    New Driver for Realtek RTL8111

Have trouble doing WoL... Loaded your debug kext and didn't see "Device is WoL capable" in the log. Does it mean that my motherboard's NIC falls into the known issues of "WoL does not work in certain configurations"? Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 OSX 10.10.1 Graphics: HD3000 Is there anything I can do about it including fiddling with the source code? Really want this WoL feature. Clover: Yosemite Sleep/Hibernate – GA-Z87X-UD5

I just upgraded from 10.8 to 10.10.3 and noticed this issue. When I followed the instructions provided by uniblack, the standby value never showed up. Is 10.10.3 different or it because I have NullCPUPowerManagment.kext installed? Would "sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0" do the trick? My pmset output after doing "pmset -a standby 0": $ pmset -g live Active Profiles: AC Power -1* Currently in use: hibernatemode 3 womp 1 networkoversleep 0 sleep 0 Sleep On Power Button 1 ttyskeepawake 1 hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage disksleep 10 displaysleep 0

Yosemite: Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA

I downloaded the latest audio_cloverALC-100_v1.0.4.command and I found two bugs. Not sure if this is the right place to report this. 1. Line 806: extra 'a' after ;; causing syntax error 2. The case statement in line 905 doesn't handle the valid codec 885 and 269 so the script exits prematurely for them. One question: Since layout1.zml.lib and Platforms.zml.lib are added to AppleHDA.kext in /S/L/E for my 885, how can audio persists after most OS X update (with a new AppleHDA.ext) as stated above? Even though they are zml's, wouldn't the whole kext overwritten and these zml files lost? Edit: Found from other thread: files with name changed survived. I thought the whole kext got replaced. We shall see. Great Work!

    [Success] EP45 DS3R

Thanks for your quick reply. Still no luck for me. Did you put your dsdt.aml in your USB stick to boot the OSX installer? In my case, OSX installer will come up only when no dsdt.aml present in /Extra.

    [Success] EP45 DS3R

I have the same mobo. F11e BIOS. Have you tried 10.9 release version? Can you share your DSDT? My DSDT.aml works on ML but when upgrading to 10.9, it hangs just before the graphics. What graphics card do you have? I have Zotac GF 9800GT.
  10. I have a 10.5.8 VM under WMWare WS 6.5. I would like to upgrade the VM to 7.0 to try out 10.6. Will my 10.5.8 VM work under VM WS 7.0 without any problems? Use the WS7 darwin.iso in donk's post I suppose.

    GA-EP45-DS3R ITS SNOWING!

Can anyone using this board try out wake on LAN and share your experience? My machine goes to a "limbo" state when it's put to sleep again after WOL (it goes on then off then on then off... every 5-10 seconds, display remains blank) I have to cut the main power stop that. Drive me crazy. My System: GA-EP45-DS3R BIOS F11e Intel Q6600 CPU nVidia 8400GS 512MB graphics card 2 GB DDR2 RAM

Retail Snow Leopard Install to gigabyte ep45-ds3r

I have this board with Q6600 but having trouble with wake on LAN. Realtek1000 kext: wake on LAN doesn't work. The vanilla AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext: wake on LAN works but the machine goes to a "limbo" state when it's put to sleep again (it goes on then off then on then off... every 5-10 seconds, display remains blank) I have to cut the main power stop that. Anyone get that working? Or experience similar issue? My System: GA-EP45-DS3R BIOS F11e Intel Q6600 CPU nVidia 8400GS 512MB graphics card 2 GB DDR2 RAM

Getting Snow Leopard to recognize your CPU

update the boot file and get it working for my Q6600 immediately, nice.. BUT it broke the video autodetection for my nvidia 8400GS so only one monitor working (I have dual display)! It also broke the DSDT hack of changing ICH10 to ESB2 SATA controller (eliminate the need of IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext for orange icon). Nothing under SATA in the SystemProfiler... Restore back to original boot file, back to normal... [Edit] compile chameleon myself with only the CPU injector code change. work ok for me now.
  14. Can you wake up your hack from sleep via wake-on-lan? Doesn't work for mine. EDIT: Just realised they have added an option in the energy saver preference. working now!

    Realtek 8168/8111 solution

Did you try wake on lan? My experience on that with this driver has been negative.
