  1. [How To] X800 XL set up with working Display Manager and QE/CI

Hey bit of a noob here, gotta say first, your instructions are fantastically easy to follow, and i (as im sure others are too) grateful for the time and effort you have put into helping people, how can we learn if no-one shows us. Few questions, i am trying to use the x800 xt card, followed your instructions too the letter with no prevail, i am curerntly booting leopard off my onboard intel gma graphics adapter (my x800 has dual displays so using that would mean i wasnt wasting a brand new monitor ) the only thing i have different is my 9700 kernel is actualy off leopard (kalyway 10.5.2) rather than 10.4 that you ask, not sure if this makes a difference? bascially when i boot on the x800 i get the apple logo, followed by a grey sceen and the sounds of my hard drive churning out leopard. when i boot into verbose and safe mode i instead get a black screen and verbose shows (if i read really really fast) " ATI Radeon x1900. Chosen model not supported" or something similar, my eyes hurt if i look too carefully haha. erm yeh my product id is 554b oh yes something worth mentioning is that my card (PCI Express) does not appear in system profiler under PCI or Graphics, not sure if its meant too... cant really think if im missing anything out...its likely... but if anyone can help me i would be grateful, spent many hours (too my girlfriends disgust) getting leopard working, i am just one step away now and its fairly frustrating. Thanks Gav
