Working perfectly for me in 10.13.4 with my GA-EP35-DS3L. Thank you, dear author, for contributing. The older version I had (1.2.2) was giving me trouble.
  2. Try downloading it from here (instead of from the App Store): https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1941?locale=en_GB Please post back here if it works.
  3. Click on 'Install macOS' first!
  4. I had a similar problem (and I too have an MBR setup). Rather than installing the update from the App Store, I downloaded and installed it from the following link, which worked: https://support.appl...37?locale=en_US
  5. Did you give your VM any storage? You can create a new virtual hard disk in Settings -> Storage.

High Sierra only sees Windows drives

The problem is that there is a bug in the High Sierra version of AppleAHCIPort.kext which means it only sees the first drive attached to the SATA controller. I don't know how to replace this kext in an installation environment so I installed HS to a partition on my first drive and then replaced this kext with the one from 10.12.6 after installation. You can probably swap around the disk drive connections in your machine temporarily during installation to get it installed.

    Success with GA-EP35-DS3L

Here is my entire /Extra folder. Plenty of suitable second-hand CPU's on eBay for minimal cost. Extra.zip

@Alby128: do you still want the files?

    AppleHDA problem

I had a similar (but not identical) problem with my ALC888. I just used the (patched) Sierra AppleHDA.kext.

    exFat not working

  13. I had a similar problem and I solved it by using AppleAHCIPort.kext from 10.12.6. You will need to disable SIP to copy it over.
  14. > there is no option to install without APFS Would it be accurate to add: "when installing to an SSD"? My understanding is that APFS is optimised for SSDs. Edit: answered my own question: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208018
  15. I have - finally - succeeded in installing the High Sierra beta on this motherboard. Booting the installation USB stick with Enoch did not work (instant KP) but Clover works correctly and lets you install. I then switched to Enoch once I had a working install because Clover interferes with my PS/2 mouse and disables ethernet when booting Sierra. I had to replace AHCIPort.kext with the one from 10.12.6 in order to access my second internal disk drive, and you will need this shell script to get your audio working: audio_realtekALC-120_v1.0d.command.zip If anyone wants my Enoch .plist files, DSDT.aml and the contents of my /Extra/Extensions folder just ask and I will post them here, but I found that the ones I was using for Sierra worked fine. Everything works (audio, ethernet, DVD) except for sleep and, so far, no crashes. Edit: Video is an Nvidia GT9400 and processor is a Core 2 Duo E8400. The board has an ICH9 chipset.
