  1. WANTED: G4 MDD Case

  2. Boot up in Windows after installing OS X

    Bootloader, this might come in handy : Use your XP to activate your osx86 boot : 1. Turn off your peecee and dismantle the data cable from your dvd drive 2. Reboot or turn on your PC, press F8 and select your WinXPHome HD 3. Let XP running, then select START, select RUN, type CMD and you go to the DOS BOX 4. In the DOS BOX type DISKPART, then type LIST DISK to see if you have 2 disks (usually disk 0 and disk 1) 5. Go to your macosx Disk, by typing SELECT DISK 1, then type LIST PARTITION and it shall reveal partition(s) you have in DISK 1 (it shouldbe PARTITION 1) 6. Next type select PARTITION 1 and then active this partition to make it bootable by typing ACTIVE and wait a while and a message pops up : THIS PARTITION NOW HAS MADE ACTIVE 7. Type EXIT and EXIT to leave diskpart and dos box and get back your WinxpHome GUI. 8. Shutdown your XPHome normally, re attach your dvd drive, turns on pc, press F8, select your macosx HD it boots into mac osx86. 9. Once macosx is running go to folder library/preferences/system configuration and copy the file COM.APPLE.BOOT.PLIST, edit the file with text editor and add the following lines after <string>BOOT GRAPHICS</string> <key>YES</key> <string>QUIET BOOT</string> <key>NO</key> <string>TIMEOUT</string> <key>8</key> save the file and get back to ./system configuration folder, delete the orginal file, back on to the desktop and copy the edited file to ./system configuration folder. Please supply your password corrrectly as you do all of the above activities. 10. Restart mac osx86, it boots to mac osx86 bootloader (command line version) and you'll be prompted to press any key in about 8 seconds, and there you are THE DUAL BOOT OPTION : XP or MACOSX86

  4. Mac on a empty HDD

    Following is the easy way pal : 1. Set your HDD as primary master and primary slave (connection to HD0 Port) 2. Set your DVD as secondary master (connection to HD1 Port) 3. Install XP on your HD 1 (primary master), once it is installed restart, boot to your XP (you shall press F8 and select your primary master HD) 4. In XP click START, select RUN, type CMD and you go into the DOS BOX 5. In DOS BOX type DISKPART, type LIST DISK to see you have 2 disks (they should be DISK 0 and DISK 1), then type SELECT DISK 1 (your primary slave), type LIST PARTITION and it shows no partition as the partition is not available yet. 6. Type CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY ID=AF and on successful creation a message pop ups telling you you have created new primary partition. 7. Type LIST PARTITION and you can see now that you have 1 partition called as UNKNOWN. 8. Type EXIT, then EXIT to leave diskpart and the dos box and get back to you WinXP GUI 9. Insert your Mac osx DVD Installer to the DVD drive, restart WinXP, reboots, press F8 and select your DVD drive to start installing mac osx86. 10. Install your mac osx86 on your primary slave HD. 11. Once the mac osx86 finishes installing it boots, press F8, select your WinXP HD. 12. In winxp, click START, select RUN, type CMD and you go into the DOS BOX 13. In DOS BOX, type DISKPART, type LIST DISK, type SELECT DISK 1, type LIST PARTITION, type SELECT PARTITION 1, type ACTIVE and a message pop ups : THIS PARTITION HAS NOW MADE ACTIVE. 14. Type EXIT, EXIT to leave diskpart and dos box and get back to your WinXP GUI 15. Restart WinXP, it reboots, press F8, select your primary slave HD, and it continues to boot Mac osx86 and finishes mac os86 installation. 16. Welcome to Mac OSX86 world and enjoy your new Mac OSX86 10.4.4

Quit your XPHome normally, your pc reboots, press F8, select your macosx HD and voila it boots into mac osx86,........... ENJOY YOUR MAC OSX86
