  1. Thanks for the links. I wake up the motherboard via WOL from sleep/s3 state. Bios should have settings for either s1/s1&s3/s3 for acpi and another entry under powermanagement for Wake-on-lan. I would appreciate it if you could check.
  2. Sorry, I have a lot more questions to follow. how bad is the sound? can i comprehend a dialogue like say from a movie? is the toslink/spdif also working? would anyone provide a single link to all the kext's needed to get this board to work? is wake-on-lan via magic packet supported? is video QE/CI accelerated?
  3. I can never boot as it is waiting for root device forever
  4. No go here also after removing the nv*,ge* kexts. FWIW, I noticed I get a reset without the sata dvdrw when it goes to gui before/after removing the kexts. I can go to the prompt with the sata dvdrw. What's next, any advise except I can't reinstall from the dvdrw.
  5. I cant install from dvd since my thinkpad is out of commission. The good thing is that with the voodoo kernel i can get in via singleuser "-s" to the hard drive. Can you point to what kexts to remove, or change. Will I need the IOPCI strings changed even if i don't have any nvidia graphics cards? I think i'm in the same scenario as @pocker09 with Applet started but no gui coming up (though a lot of reading from the harddrive)... pointers anyone?
  6. Sleep on Thinkpads

Did you ever get around your problem. I have only seen this once before but now I can't boot the computer and fails with this error 0192. Any help other than replace system board is needed.
  7. no go with the options you listed. I get a restart once it switches from the scrolling verbose to the fine text. what i did is i installed the voodoo kernel and that went error free until it loads the gui. i don't have the camera to get the snapshot right now. and my thinkpad t61 went kaput with error 0192 after installing the voodoo. is this the point i need video drivers?
  8. 7050, vesa 3.0 should be ok as I plan to use it headless anyways, unless I can get a pci-1x video card for cheap (8400gs-or 9xxx series). - Vanilla kernal 9.2.0 - Vanilla kernal 9.2.2 - Kernal-9.2.0 (Default selected) - Kernal-9.2.0-Sleep - Kernal-9.2.2 - Third Party Drivers --- Chipset Drivers --- Audio Drivers --- Graphic Drivers --- Network Drivers - ACPIPlatform --- Old-ACPIPlatform --- Stock-ACPIPlatform - SMBIOS --- SMBIOS-667 --- SMBIOS-800 --- SMBIOS-1066 --- SMBIOS-1333 --- SMBIOS-iMac --- SMBIOS-MacBook --- SMBIOS-MacPro - PowerManagement-Laptops - AboutThisMac (Default selected)
  9. When booting on the zotac nf630i. I only have leo4all 10.5.2 right now. Is there a recomended release I can scour for? 120G ide as PATA master (no DVDRW: disconnected off sata). On board graphics and fixed at 256M (bios). I also have a 80G sata if that is easier to work on. I have another system to mount this drive to load kexts, kernels if need be.. Thanks for the help!
  10. Does any one have luck getting this to work? I'm looking at pointers as to what kernet, kexts and patches needed. I have leo4all 10.5.2 plain vanilla+efiv9, i would like to have a common ground as to not waste time on debugging the wrong things. currently I have installed with problems with ahci, unless i boot with cpus=1 then that has iopciresource missing stuff. either way I can't boot to prompt with -s. Board is zotac nf630i-d-e with e7200 and 1gb ram. bios settings as pointed at the beginning.

  12. I briefly had it for a day but cannot get efi strings to work with 8400gs. I did not try nvinject/kexts and that might have worked.
  13. I've tried all methods (efi/rom/atihd2400 patches) to get the HD2400 to work with CE/QI/resolution to no avail. Settle for nvidia - last pci known is the 6200 which i think you won't gain much from the 945gc.
  14. H8TR, I've got the same problem, I started using svideo to configure BIOS on plasma screen so never know if it worked on lcd - then moved to the 17" monitor (but no output, lcd led flickers to green then sleep back to yellow). I also cannot poweroff without killing the ac plug. How did you go about fixing yours?
  15. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

can't get this to work on leo4all 10.5.2 - applegraphicsuupdate 1.0 - update on pg 1 for hd2400pcie. I have the 0x94cc1002 pci version, i have edited atiradeonx2000.kext to add this pci_id. comes out grey screen. ur help appreciated,
