  1. Odd DS_Store behaviour

So my dad's moving his media collection from his WDLive media player, to his newly purchased HP Microserver. Before I had my Microserver properly configured, I was accessing his WDLive's SMB shares using my Macbook. As he was inspecting the difference between one copy of one of his folders on the WDLive, and the Microserver (running WHS v1), he found one of the DS_Store files my Macbook (running on Lion), had left behind. After deleting this file, he seems to think the deleting that file from within WHS caused the whole folder to be wiped. Given that the .DS_store file is an inert little settings folder, like thumbs.db, besides the fact that I assume WHS doesn't even know how to read the .DS_STORE file, can someone just confirm with me that such a suggestion is non-sensical?
  2. Any help at all? I was expecting at least one reply...
  3. Anybody? I've tried installing Leo4all but it hangs at Code Signing: cs_invalid_page: p=160[lssave] clearing CS_VALID. I could really use some help.
  4. Hi everyone, I've just tried installing iAtkos r2 on my system, here's my specs : E6600 C2D P5NE-SLI (650i chipset) Gainward 8800GTS 320MB (Device ID 0193) 2GB of Ram First I tried installing 8800 support straight from the disc, which resulted in a kernel panic. Then I tried installing nVinject 0.33 after the install, remembering to select the AMD/Nforce patch on the installer, and I still get kernel panics unless I boot in safe mode. Here's a photo of the readout. I've tried editing all the .kext files I've been told are related to my problem with my device id (0193) to no avail. I'm currently downloading Leo4allV3, so if I can't get this to work, I'll try that, unless anyone reccomends I give up on this install and try Leo4allV3. Now I'll post the info.plists of related .kexts . This is the one which appears to be causing the problem, NVDANV50Hal.kext : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" 5. Cmedia 8738

I've tried this driver - All i get is a kernel panic, or no sound in safe mode. I've just bought a PC Line 5.1 sound card with the correct CMedia chip on it. Any ideas? EDIT: Woops, I installed the driver for a different kernel 0.o. All sorted now, I just installed the right one and got rid of appleac97 as that was what was causing the kernel panic.
  6. AppleAC97.kext

Will this work with any AC97 intergrated sound chip? And it'd be appreciated if someone could send it me, and how should i install it? My email is tomisace6@hotmail.com Thanks, Boopop
  7. Help mounting secondary hard disk

Sorry for the tripple post, but I'd really appreciate some help on this
  8. Help mounting secondary hard disk

Tried that already - No luck, I just get two messages instead of one 0.o
  9. Can Anyone help me mount my second ntfs hard disk? It says failed to mount, after osx has booted, while my windows partition (which is on the same disk as osx) mounts. Thanks
  10. Now I've got QE/CI working, and network, what's the best either PCI or USB Sound solution, which supports 4.1 surround, with OSX 10.4.8? Thanks!
  11. Thanks everyone I got it working. Had to all the kexts over (other than GeForce.kext) and then edit them. QE/CI both supported, and my osx86 immediately booted at 1680x1050
  12. I've looked in the folder in question, and the other two kexts do not exist! Please help >.< Should I just copy the ones over I got from the file Joe linked me to?
  13. Whenever I try to edit kexts other than Geforce.kext, it just opens new files :S This is what I type in "sudo nano NVDANV40Hal.kext/Contents/info.plist"
  14. What do i do with the files in that package you linked me to? Do i just need titan.kext?
