  1. what exactly was changed with this command? I can't boot after this and no kext-dev-mode=1 works. I even went as far as plugging the drive via usb to my other machine, removing the iobluetoothfamily kext and installing a vanilla one. I just can't boot. Help me please, i want to revert the changes I'm running chameleon by the way UPDATE: Fixed, just had to repair permissions with disk utility. many permission problems
  2. All good here with GM 2.0 Can't see any UI changes, must be all internal bug fixing
  3. OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Yes, I have ordered one also and have the Gmyle which is BT 4.0 LE and it also doesn't work. I'm 99% sure that a solution to enable these dongles will be available as soon as Yosemite goes public in 9 days time. Remember, there are a lot of sites that will not let you discuss anything regarding Yosemite until it's final. There will most likely be a patch or a modified kext that will enable it. I am not going to spend £100 on the OSXWifi solution. It's overpriced by £50, if it was £50 I would consider it... £100 is out of the question. Considering that I can find the card without the adapter for £17 delivered! The adapter normally is less than the device itself. Anyway, only 9 days to go. It's most likely an issue where the OS sees the dongle as external and it needs to show as internal so it can be activated. Who knows, all I know is that there will be a solution. As long as the dongle is supported as a normal bluetooth by the OS, I'm very confident there will be one.
  4. If you skip to the bottom of the listing you will have your answer on the card you found on ebay in your last sentence Not: Not for IBM/HP/Apple Desktop!!
  5. OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Ok, let me put this in perspective for all the doubters... No iPhone, I repeat, no iPhone, iPad or iPod have wireless AC apart from the iPhone 6 and 6 plus. None. How could that be a determining factor when it is not supported on any other mobile device apart from the latest iPhone? Handoff is a feature that works in conjunction with iOS and OS X. If the iOS device does not supported it, it will not be able to use it. I just don't get why people are still doubting that it is a bluetooth issue?
  6. OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

No, you do not need an AC compatible wireless card. If that was the case then any mac manufactured before 2013 would not have it. It's still being investigated. We will know more when Yosemite is released to the public in 2 weeks time. My assumption is that if you have a compatible BT 4.0 card with LE and a supported chipset there will be a way to activated Handoff. The CSR cards are a hit and miss, the broadcom cards have normally good support. I'm not too bothered at the moment, I have an iPhone 5S and an iPad Air but they are on 7.1.2 because of the jailbreak. When the iOS 8 jailbreak is released then I will be interested!
  7. OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

It's perfect for me with the GTX 650. Always had issues with power management and still have in Mavericks, unless I install the Nvidia web driver. This and the last version of the Yosemite developer preview fixed the issue and I tried everything to get it to fail but it is 100% fixed.
  8. OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 to Dev

This issue is fixed with the Nvidia web driver. Sadly it is not available in betas. This is the last time I install a beta on my stable hack. I have a mac mini but that doesn't suffer from the graphics PM issue as it uses Intel HD 3000. It was ok in ML, it all started in Mavericks. It's not a big issue, a reboot will fix it but if you use preview to open a photo or some 3D games that use OpenCL the Framework crashes and PM goes out of the window, only another reboot will fix it.
  9. OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 to Dev

Is this in reply to what I said? Remember, this is an issue that affects real macs so your theory that if you buy a new mac it will be different doesn't hold water. It is an Nvidia driver issue, I have a GPU that is used by Apple in their macs.
  10. OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 to Dev

i can't believe that it has been so long and apple does not fix this issue! Yosemite beta was the same and now it's fixed.
  11. OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

Looks like it, try it. PM is working great for the Nvidia GPU
  12. OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 to Dev

Where is it then? I haven't got it.
  13. OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 to Dev

Hard to believe Apple would release 13F25 a day after 13F24. Nothing is available for download
  14. OS X Yosemite DP's builds!

I have good news! Finally Apple has sorted out the Nvidia drivers in Yosemite DP6! It is still broken in 10.9.5 but in Yosemite DP6 the graphics PM is fixed and it scales down when you open a photo in Preview. This is an achievement of epic proportions as it has been like this since ML. I have a GTX 650 and had this problem for a long time. On 10.9.4 the Nvidia web drivers fixes the issue but they are not compatible with the betas. This should make some of you really happy.
