  1. Well, we can't use our dGPU at the moment at all on our laptops, only the Intel GPU, so being able to use the Nvidia card would be huge.
  2. Samsung Galaxy Book 12

I got to the installation screen here, but then I get the error about recovery server not connected. How do you get past this since this computer can't connect to the internet?
  3. [GUIDE] Installing macOS on ASUS K501L

Hello- I have the K501UX which is similar but 4k screen (probably more differences than that). For months I've tried to get OS X running on it, and did at one point, but without trackpad/internal HD and with choppy graphics. So I was thrilled when I saw this post, thinking maybe this computer was close enough to mine to work, but alas, following this tutorial I can't even get the installer to appear, keep getting stopped during the white text for unknown reasons. Knowing more than me, should this tutorial be at all relevant to my computer, or should I keep looking?
  4. I use this and it works great- http://www.amazon.com/Tenda-150Mbps-Wireless-Adapter-W311MI/dp/B006GCYAOI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406840081&sr=8-1&keywords=tenda+150mbps+wireless+pico+w311mi
  5. I just noticed that in JahStories's SP1.zip that there are two sets of dsdt.aml and ssdt.aml files- one in a "Dsdt & Ssdt" folder in the root, and one in '/To EFI Partition/Clover/Acpi/Patched/' I've used the latter, but what are the former for? I always assumed they were the same files, but they have different file sizes and creation dates. EDIT- Crazy, so I just replaced the dsdt.aml file that I had originally placed in my EFI partition with the one from the "Dsdt & Ssdt" folder in the root of the zip (has a Feb 9 date on it), and now I have brightness controls! Awesome. Svenator, are you listening?
  6. Can anyone help me figure out how to get a proper boot without having to inject EDID? Or if thats not the issue, basically just help me figure out how to get screen brightness adjusted?
  7. I have no problem paying the money, its just a really, really weird way to do business, to not even mention it to the customer. Its also weird to change a separate fee for support for an app you're selling, especially one that is more beta than finished. But I understand that they aren't making money here.
  8. Weird, no, I've never heard of that. I just emailed them (as they requested on their page), and they sent me a paypal invoice for $100. Didn't realize there were any other options. Sure you're not thinking of the SwitchResX?
  9. Wondering, for anyone out there who has also purchased the touch-base drivers- will we ever get updates for them, or is what they sent us it? There doesn't seem to be a downloadable link on the website anywhere, and I'm not sure if they are even working on any updates for the Surface Pro version anyway. I ask bc I noticed the driver doesn't work with the pen when I have my power cover on my surface; works fine with my touch cover, but not the power cover.
  10. Oh, like I said, I'm back on 10.9.2 with no plans of leaving, so maybe someone else could figure it out. Not even sure if it's something as easy as a kext swap, that same kext could be the reason for your lack of qe/ci earlier, so I wouldn't hold my breathe. Maybe the moderator here would have a better idea.
  11. Interesting. I upgraded to 10.9.4 this weekend, only to have everything go to hell, had to erase the hd and start all over, I'm not leaving 10.9.2 until I hear some more positive stories. Weird that the brightness works in it, wonder what the difference is. Need to steal a kext from it maybe?
  12. Ok yeah, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there is a way to actually dim the screen, like really dim it. They're are quite a few things with osx86 that you're not gonna get with a real mac.
  13. There's an app in the App Store, I think it's called screen brightness, works ok.
  14. http://touch-base.com/documentation/SurfacePro.htm$99, you have to email them and request to purchase.
  15. Are you booting up in safe mode or just normal boot? Maybe try repairing permissions to the drive in Disk Utility?
