  1. GMA3150 working?

Hi guys. I tried to install Lion with iAtkos L2 on my Lenovo s10-3 and the install was REALLY SMOOTH (comparing to my nvdia board desktop). However although the gma3150 is recognised no qe/ci is enabled. I searched and found that there is a problem with these graphic cards. Does anyone know if any drivers are finally released for GMA3150 with qe/ci working or a workaround? Thanks
  2. iAtkos L2 install problem on MSI P6N SLI-FI

UPDATE: Finally I found out that it was a matter of the bootloader beeing used. All this time I was using the versions os Chameleon Bootloader (including the one from the iAtkos setup and the one from Verdant's files from his guide about Lion on NForce). When I switch to the latest version of Chimera (1.9.1) it booted in the os normally and finished the configuration. Unfortunately I didn't have some drivers like audio but I think this will be easier to fix.... So waiting for DSMOS problem was bootloader related for me. Thank you, please mark this as Solved.
  3. iAtkos L2 install problem on MSI P6N SLI-FI

After using the latest chameleon on the USB flash and kexts for nforcelan and sata I managed to get through with the install. After install I put these kexts again in the S/L/E folder in hard drive ( otherwise still waiting for Root device appears) but now the install hangs at waiting for DSMOS. I have read different solutions like using the latest FakeSMC or deleting the Don't steal Mac os.kext but none of three work. What now?
  4. iAtkos L2 install problem on MSI P6N SLI-FI

CORRECTION: Forget the restart, there was an error with chameleon. I tried with the other boot files (boot0 and boot1h) from EFI 10.6 and the boot file from netkas 10.7 as verdant suggested in his post, But now loading hangs at: USBMSC identifier (non-unique) and some numbers. Now what?
  5. (CHECK BELOW FOR SOLUTION!) ORIGINAL: Hi guys. I downloaded the iAtkos L2 DVD and restored it on a usb flash drive through osx 10.6 i have already installed on my PC. If I tried booting from the usb just like that, I got the still waiting for root device error after loading kexts, so I just copied the AppleNforceAta.imk64bit.kext from Verdant's files (a big thanks to Verdant for his helpful post), and I managed to surpass this. However now after a while, the loading hans at a point with this message: BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 no such file or directory Bug:launchctl.c:2408 (24687):30: cdefd =open (g_overrides_db_patch.... and can't start the installation. Somewhere I read that a fakeSmc will fix this, so I also tried different fakesmc's from verdant's files again but now it doesn't even hang, it immidiately restarts the pc without having time to see the error. Any ideas on what to do in order to be able to finally start the installation? THanks UPDATE: For usb flash to boot normally, just copy AppleNForceATA.imk.64bit.kext and NforceLAN.kext in S/L/E from Verdant's files and install Chameleon Bootloader on USB from Verdant's files also. After install, you must boot in the installer again and install through the terminal, the chimera 1.9.1 bootloader on your OSX Volume. This requires that you have downloaded the chimera package and saved it somewhere. You can install it this way: Let's say you have downloaded chimera to the root of your usb installation flash. Boot in the installer like you firstly did, and when it opens, select utilities and open Terminal. It will start a Terminal directly with administartor permissions (bash-3.2#) type: cd / (to move to top directory) cd Volumes/USBFLASHNAME (Because we said that we downloaded the chimera package there) installer -pkg chimera-packagename.pkg -target /Volumes/OSX-VolumeName (replace the names with the corresponding ones from your configuration) This should have done it. Just select restart and boot from your hard disk. It should continue normally the boot into the system. Hope I helped
  6. Help with ALC888

Maybe try what iLeopod did for me. It worked perfectly!!! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=256018
  7. ALC888 on MSI P6N SLI-FI

Hi, I didn't have the time to check yesterday, so I am posting today. I installed the two kexs with Kext Helper b7 and then I tried the command on the terminal. However it stated that there is no AppleHDA.kext file and this was true after I checked, which I believe is logical since I only had installed voodohda. Anyway I bypassed this step, ran kext utility, restarted, and VOILA!!!!!! Device properly recognised in system profiler and system preferences without any noise. Proper Sound!!!! I owe you a big thank you. Very nice Job.
  8. ALC888 on MSI P6N SLI-FI

Greetings! I am new at all this OSX86 scene, and I have just finished installing my first Hackintosh. I am using a MSI P6N SLI-FI motherboard with Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 and GEFORCE 9800GT. I used the iAtkos S3 V2 to install OSX. I must say the install went pretty smooth and everything worked almost out of the box after the installation customization. I am dual booting with Windows 7, so I also used the Local Time fix by Zephyroth in order to fix the changing time between OSes and it worked like a charm!!!! Right now I have an almost all set Hackintosh except one little problem. For my audio (Realtek ALC888 chip) I use the latest VoodooHDA which gives me quite good sound, but with some randomly noise artifacts. The output is recognised in system preferences but no audio is detected in system profiler. Anyway, since I am new and what I found about getting audio to work, confused me a bit, could someone please give me some instructions on properly installing the audio card? Maybe pointing a link or so..... Thank you very much for your time.
  9. nForce LAN driver

I tried the Voodo XNU Beta 2c kernel, and had exactly the same results. It even froze in less time with the voodoo kernel than the stagexnu. Eno, what did you mean that my system log has errors?
  10. nForce LAN driver

Tested it as much as I could. Tried to install iDeneb 10.5.5 with stagexnu kernel. Everything works perfectly if i use the cpus=1 flag. Even sleep. But if i don't, the pc hangs after a little time. Something quite odd that i noticed is that without the cpus=1 flag, if i use the computer, (instead of leaving it idle) for example, watch a movie, it takes much longer for it to freeze (i was watching a movie and it froze after an hour, and i was downloading a file simultaneously), but if i leave it alone just downloading, it freezes after 10-15 minutes. That's it! Any help or suggestions appreciated, because if i use both cores it will be Perfect Install!!!
  11. nForce LAN driver

I think i did it. I reinstalled the kext with optimization 0 and it works with the 2 cores running. I ran xbench and i am writhing from Mac right now, and no system freezes so far. Thanks! ---Correction. I tried to dual boot with Vista, and unfortunately it froze again.... back to cpus=1
  12. nForce LAN driver

I found out that, if i boot using the flag cpus=1, the pc doesn't crash, and everything is fine with the internet, downloading, etc, except that it is quite slow. Any suggestions?
  13. Realtek RTL8211, detected but not working

Hi. I installed JAS 10.5.4 the patched version, and downloaded this 0.62.3n beta_osx from here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=125569 After power down for a minute and disconnecting the network cable, once i pluged it in, it found the correct ip address under dhcp, and the internet works too, however the system hangs after the first webpage is loaded....
  14. nForce LAN driver

ok thanks kozlowski, na sai kala! Elladara! One question, I installed the kext with osx86tools, rebooted, put the setting in network dhcp, it found all the ip and dns correctly, safari worked, but the pc crashes after the first webpage in safari is loaded. Anybody knows what's wrong?
  15. nForce LAN driver

Hi, I just managed to install Jas 10.5.4 to my P6N SLI-FI after downgrading the bios down to 2.2 And everything works perfectly, except lan. I have RTL8211 BL network adapter. From what i have read i understand that i have to download osx86tool to install the kext of the first page. But, which kext should I install, and must I also install any kext of the "attached" files? Please correct me if I say something wrong. Thanks!
