  1. I stand corrected. Sorry, I've got the intel graphics version, and as far as I know, there currently is no solution for sleep with intel graphics. I must learn to read before posting.
  2. Works perfectly. Thank you very much. great job. Dell D620, SL6.4, intel graphics.

  4. Yup. This is a f*cking awesome solution! And just in time too. I was just about to give up, and had reverted to 10.6.2. Now all is well. Thankyou very much!
  5. DVD-rewritable is not advisable. Try a normal DVD.
  6. Ok. I have a working 10.6.3 install on my intel graphics based D620 for some months now, and since everything was working great (except sleep) , I thought it would be nice to replace the old core duo ( T2300E ) for a nice T7200 core 2 duo model. since then, I can only boot verbose, every time i try to boot normally, I get a kernel panic. Any clues, anyone? I don't.
  7. There is always a positive side to not getting any answers..... Finding the solution on your own. I've got it working now, I placed this kext in extra/extensions, rebuilt mkext, rebooted, voila! it works! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...ost&id=1185 BTW, for any users working with vmware fusion and autocad electrical, download the new betaversion of vmware. This solved the project-manager issues.
  8. Folks, I've ran into some trouble here. I have a D620 with intel graphics, running 10.6.3. Yesterday I discovered that my ethernet (Broadcom 5752) stopped working. It used to work with 10.6.2, and I thought it worked with 10.6.3, but I could be mistaking. Network prefences says the cable isn't connected, wich is not the case. Can anyone shed some light on this and point me in the right direction? I really need the nic.
  9. wait a minute..... damn! no sound! I seem to have lost my soundcard. Inserted voodoohda.kext. problem solved. This is the contents of my extensions folder; everything seems to work. except sleep, ofcourse.
  10. It seems I was wrong reporting my D620 having no problems with 10.6.3. VLC stopped working, my screensaver don't work anymore, and video performance took a huge step backwards. Tried installing a third party screensaver, this works, only the system preference pane crashes each time I want to change some settings for mentioned screensaver. Could this have something to do with the videocard my 'about this mac' reports? It says I've got a Nvidia card, which I don't, this should read Intel. Applied the dsdt patch. everything working ok now. thanks again leppy for the brilliant work!
  11. Dell D620 Installed 10.6.3 on original leppy distro. no problems.
  12. Okay, somehow you have managed to do something impossible. And awesome. Or so it seems to me. Could you explain in simple instructions what I would have to do to make this happen for my D620? I don't see a disabler.kext in my /Extra/Extensions folder, so that's okay then? Do I need to remove all the extensions you didn't mention in your previous post? HPet? Has this something to do with the bios settings? And how about IntelPowerManagement? Where do I leave this DSDT file? Setting my model to MacBookPro5,1 in the SMBios.plist, okay I could do that, but where is it? I know, Google is your friend and all that, but there are so many hits on all of these subjects, I really don't have time for that. ( I have 7 demanding children, a nagging wife and a job, so please excuse me for being a total dickhead.) P.S I have a Intel graphics card, would that be a problem with your dsdt file? Sorry for asking so many questions. Ta.
  13. 10.6.0 Boot CD for Snow Leopard Retail Install here: D620SLV1.iso Works like a charm! I can't thank you enough for this. Very good work! I was wondering, if I replaced my current core duo for a T7200 core 2 duo, would that mess things up?
