  1. Help with HD3000 on mountain lion

ok! I can guarantee you I have i3 cpu 2328m and Intel HD 3000, definitely not hd 2000. Wondering if there's anything else I can do to try make this QE/CI work... Been trouble shooting a week now Any possible tips that I could try appreciated! DSDT I had no luck with, keeps kernel panicing... will take picture n post here!
  2. Help with HD3000 on mountain lion

When trying to make the Intel HD 3000 work with QE/CI, should I be using SMBios 8,1 or 8,3 when my CPU is Intel Core i3 2328M? "The i3-2328M offers an integrated graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 3000) which is clearly faster then the older Intel HD Graphics in the Arrandale CPUs. As the new GPU is included in the CPU, it is also manufactured in 32nm and shares the fast level 3 cache with the CPU cores (using a new ring bus)." http://http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i3-2328M-Notebook-Processor.81502.0.html
  3. Broadcom bcm43xx wireless driver [beta]

Just wondering, is the status still the same that the BCM4313 is not possible to make work? I didn't quite understand, cus after all the research I done online, I can't seem to find anyone saying that they got it to work... But here it is listed as Supported Chipset... or did I understand this incorrectly? Thanks!
  4. HD3000 full acceleration for 10.8

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately this didn't change anything... Starting to wonder if somehow my graphic kexts are corrupted or something, cus seems like whatever I do at this stage, nothing ever changes... Will try the modded DSDT today.
  5. DSDT for Lenovo IdeaPad N581

Thanks for the replies guys! Much appreciated. OK! Attached below, please let me know if there is anything else / other required information that I could provide. PS.http://www.insanelym...20#entry1883725 did not work out unfortunately. Will try sorting out the DSDT now and modding it and see if that would work out. EDIT: attachment don't seem to work somehow, but here it is uploaded: http://roko.robotfreq.com/temp/ioreg.txt
  6. HD3000 full acceleration for 10.8

I would love to try this, as it seems my last chance to try get the QE/CI working on my HD 3000. Have tried every other option that I could find online... No luck... Starting to wonder could it be that trying so many things my kexts have got corrupted or something, cus at the moment when im trying different kexts, nothing seems to happen at all. At least at earlier stages first it was finding my HD 3000 only as 64mb, now it's always 512mb, even with the older kexts settings I had it 64mb before etc. Thing is, I have a Lenovo N581 with HM76 chipset motherboard, am new to DSDT and can't find a patch for it at Olarila.com... And too scared to experiment with it myself, seeing as it took over a week to get my computer to the stage it is now (please see here for full details: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285891-dsdt-for-lenovo-ideapad-n581/). Is there any safe way for me to try do this DSDT patch to enable QE/CI? Because I can't find the patch for my Motherboard at Olarila.com and don't know how to proceed, never tried to work with this DSDT method yet, only kexts... Thanks a million if anyone can send me in right direction!
  7. DSDT for Lenovo IdeaPad N581

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen, I am new to DSDT, have been reading up, but due to spending a week making my Mountain Lion work on my PC as good as it does now, I thought better double check before messing it all up by doing something wrong with the DSDT while trying to make my Intel HD 3000 graphics load up with QE/CI. Here are my laptop specs: Lenovo IdeaPad N581 Motherboard Chipset: Intel Panther Point HM76, Intel Sandy Bridge CPU: Intel Core i3-2328M @ 2.20ghz (cores 2) Memory: 8GB DDR3-1600 SDRAM Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 (0116) Audio: Conexant Cx20590 @ Intel Panther Point PCH WLAN: Broadcom 802.11n OS: Dual Boot with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and Mountain Lion 10.8.2 (installed from iATKOS ML2) on the same disk, on different partitions. So far I managed to make everything work (except for QE/CI on the HD 3000 and haven't even bothered trying WLAN which I don't mind anyway). I have come to a point that only last resort to try make it enable the QE/CI is a custom DSDT patch. So far my ML boots perfectly without any special flags, with sound, full resolution + the HD 3000 finds that it has 512mb.... But QE/CI is still not enabled, even when booting GraphicsEnabler=Yes -> so I can't make Final Cut Pro work, which is the only reason I am installing OS X. Researching this and other forums, I have come to the conclusion that the last chance I have at sorting out the QE/CI is this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282045-hd3000-full-acceleration-for-108/#entry1856893 However, I haven't got any experience with DSDT so far, so thought to ask help here first before messing up the DSDT and having to start from scratch with the whole setting up Mountain Lion (took a week to make it to this point I am now hehe). Sooo, what should I do in order to be able to do this DSDT patch above ^^^? I have downloaded the DSDT editor and tried to follow the instructions here: http://www.macbreaker.com/2012/03/make-dsdt-with-dsdt-editor.html. But I can't proceed further at the stage of "You can download a patch for your specific motherboard from olarila.com", as the patches list at olarila.com doesn't have anything for my Lenovo's motherboard (the HM76). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if there are any files I need to provide or any other information, sorry this is my first post here Thank you.
