  1. I too tried the lite version and tested all the bits that it would allow me to test. Worked flawlessly and I must say that it's an awesome little program for those interested.
  2. For those of you having issues actually downloading/buying an app there is a known bug that you have to use certain buttons else it does nothing. The buttons that work best are the little ones in the grid view all others are having issues. I had to look it up myself as I could click on install but the apps would just sit there and not do anything. Good luck with your apps.

[GUIDE] Installing Lion DP4 + GM Without USB(Video)

Thank you very much Still Win Fan, this guide helps a lot, I had to do some fiddling but it was worth it to be using Lion. I have an Asus P5QPL-AM board and all I needed was the VoodooHDA kext and the Attansic L1e kext. Video was easy as I have a 9800 GT with a gig of cram. Edit: I also didn't use a DSDT.aml for my install.
  4. Okay, so I can install just fine but however when it restarts I can get to "MAC Framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers" and then nothing... nothing. I've tried all the things I've found online and nothing seems to work. My rig is as follows: Motherboard: ASUS P5QPL-AM CPU: Intel Core2Duo 1.87 Ghz Video: ATI HD 3870 RAM: 2 Gigs HDD: 2 250gb (one with Win 7, the other with Mac) I've tried different distros and settings all with the same response. EDIT: I figured it out, I had missed a post that fixed it. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78235

    Changed video cards

So, nothing? Do I just need to reinstall Mac? If so that's fine I would just like to be back on my Mac drive instead of Windows.
  6. So my old card died and a friend helped me out by giving me an extra card he had. So how do I make it to where I can boot again? I looked and I noticed that I do have the controller kext for the 3800 series but when I boot it tries to load the x2000 kext which gives me a KP. Here I am open for all advice, I follow it well too.

10.6.5 easy update (Asus PQ5L pro)

So I go into smbios.plist and edit that string correct? Is that all I'll need to do?

10.6.5 easy update (Asus PQ5L pro)

I've tried this but my system has issues with the com.apple.appletymcedriver.kext I have to remove it when I first load up OSx86. Apparently with the 10.6.5 combo update it tries to reinstall that at which point when registering the components I get a KP. Any ideas or am I just boned?

    System Update?

Thank you both for the information, I really appreciate it. Edit: Update went just fine. Sound didn't even mess up. Thank you again.

    System Update?

So I got Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard installed on my system and I finally have it all set up and working correctly. Now, I know I can do product updates, but if I install a system update will it fry my installation? I think it took me like 5 installs to get it here, I'd rather not have to do it again. I just want to know if I should ignore system updates.

    IDE to SATA install?

Well I've tried with Kalyway, iDeneb, iAtkos, and iPC all 10.5 but with varying third numbers. Each time each one gives me a diskarbitrationd [44]:coreRAIDserver[43]:17155 not responding error message. I have an MSI MS-6788 mobo with two dvd-roms that are IDE and one SATA hard drive.

    IDE to SATA install?

Is it possible to install any version/distro of 10.5 with an IDE DVD-ROM to a SATA harddrive? I've looked around and I've seen people talking about IDE to SATA converters, but not much about actually trying. I know that my system will run the software, the only thing that's changed is I put a SATA harddrive into my machine. If not then I'll just go get a new DVD-ROM. Thanks for your help, if there's anything else you need to know just ask. Firerose

I've installed and hit a bump

Thanks for the info I've written it down and I will try it. EDIT: So I tried that and no cigar. It's still doing the same thing: going to a logon blue screen and a cursor.
  15. Alright, I have an Intel D865GBF motherboard with an 865G chipset. The processor that I'm using is an Intel Celeron D 340, 2.9 GHz. I have 768 MB of DDR ram and a EVGA e-GeForce 6200 AGP graphics card. I installed Leo 10.5.2 with Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel & Amd (sse2/sse3) EFI V8 I was able to get through the installation with the default kernel and NVInject selected. When I rebooted my system I got into the Mac install just fine saw the movie and filled out the standard stuff. After that I got to the login blue screen got a cursor and that's where it stopped. I did a hard reboot and still have the same thing. Any ideas? (Please let me know if I've left anything out.)
