  1. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I've tried with yours, mtek's and nasseau's kexts, 10.8.0 works fine, but after the update it's stuck at the Apple logo... My kexts are all in the E/E folder. Maybe I am missing something vital here. So I am writing down what I've tried, maybe you can help me what have I missed. I updated to 10.8.1 with AppStore and the package installer too. After the update the computer restarts. After that I can't boot into ML with or without -f. So on my Lion partition I ran Kext Wizard, and repaired permissions and rebuilt mkext on Extra and rebuilt cache and repaired permissions on S/L/E, but it didn't work either. Don't know what to do, today I've reinstalled poor ML three of four times, but no luck after the update... But I am optimistic, and I want to learn, so I am waitingg for some help again. Thank you in advance!
  2. Asus 1201N Installation and support

After my holiday and the beginning of the weekend I am trying again! Thanks for the guide! It helped me to install ML perfectly! However after updating to 10.8.1 via the App Store I cannot boot to ML again (the same error before: blank screen in verbose boot, or stuck at apple logo). Will try again tomorrow! Does anybody give me a tip what did go wrong?
  3. Asus 1201N Installation and support

The forum says to your attachment: [#10170] We could not find the attachment you were attempting to view. Anyway, my question is, that what kexts and files should I copy to the ML Lion installer, and what files are post install only? I think my problem lies here, but I am open to any suggestions. (Sorry, I am a newby here.. )

  5. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Okay, now that you say, our problem is really the same. When I realized what is the last message on the console, I already forgot, that you had the same problem! Now I am gonna try to update my BIOS, but first I must find my pendrive. I'll let you know if it helped (or not). EDIT: I've updated my BIOS to the AHCI overclockable one, and I've set the AHCI mode in BIOS, but no luck, same problem - blank screen after the previously mentioned rows... Any solution?
  6. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Hi everyone! Just installed the ML to my 1201n, however after the installation when I am trying to boot for the first time into ML it's stuck. Without verbose it displays the Apple logo, with -v it loads a lots of things then the screen just goes black! I used the files from this post, to get the installer working: http://www.insanelym...dpost&p=1843611 Any help is appreciated! Thank you! Edit: So I managed to Pause the screen and wrote down what is says before freezing... So here it is! Thank you, that solved the problem!
  8. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Hello everyone! Yesterday I successfully installed Lion on my 1201n, and everything is working just fine except that I got a kernel panic when I shutdown or reboot (and maybe on sleep, didn't dare to try it). I did everything that the guide instructed, don't know what's the problem... Should I reinstall some kext or just need one? Thank you in advance!
  9. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I thought that the problem is caused by a kext, because before the 1201n installer my key is working. I downloaded other Hungarian keyboards, but they were all the same: my í doesn't work. So i think it is because the keyboard kext.
  10. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Thank you so much for your last help! However I have a second problem.... I successfully installed the SL, and updated to 10.6.4. However one of my keys does'n work... It's the "í" (it's right to the left shift). It "disappears" after I install the 1201n install v4. Even Ukulele can't identify it. I deleted from the SLE folder the PS2keyboard kext, which wasn't there before the 1201n installer and run the kext utility. After that my trackpad doesn't work, and my í isn't working either... I drag all of the PS2 files from the Extra folder to the kext utility, but that didn't fix my problems either... How can I get my trackpad working again, and how do I regain the missing key? If a reinstall is the easier way, what should I delete from the 1201n install app's package to not modify my keyboard? Thanks for your help again!
  11. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I use a Hitachi 250GB hard drive in an external usb enclosure. The HDD is the one, which was originally in the 1201N. I thought, that if it boots from it, than it could not be the problem.. But maybe it is..? The problem is, that I don't have an 8GB usb thumb. :S
  12. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Hello everyone! I don't know, what am I doing wrong, but please help... On my friends laptop we installed a Leopard, and we ran the NetbookMaker on that OS. The retail Snow Leo was 10.6.0. After that we plugged the usb drive to my 1201N, and we got a "Unable to patch 64bit kernel", and after the Apple logo a kernel panic came... The NetBookMaker we used is the one from this guide. What did I wrong? Was it the retail DVD? Or because I ran the NetBookMaker on a Leopard? Please help.
