  1. AMD 10.5.7 Update

Yep, Time Machine works great. Hmm, that's strange. How did you go about updating?
  2. AMD 10.5.7 Update

Updated/installed using pacifist, rebooted, and was presented with my lovely desktop, along with QE/CI, and the whole nine yards. For anyone else wanting 10.5.7, definitely use pacifist, and do not replace/overwrite your graphics/sound/network drivers. Files you should also not install: AppleHDA.kext (if you use modified hda audio drivers) AppleHPET.kext AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext AppleSMBIOS.kext AppleTyMCEDriver.kext Seatbelt.kext System.kext mach_kernel mach_kernel.ctfsys
  3. Half updated to 10.5.7

Yeah, definitely use Pacifist. I have an AMD system with Voodoo 9.5.0, so I figured I could just update regularly, like I did with 10.5.6, but NOPE! Complete and total failure. However, when I reinstalled, and used Pacifist, it worked like a charm. Just make sure to back up and DON'T overwrite your graphics and sound kext's.
  4. Can't boot with -force64 and XNU 9.5.0

Short answer: you can't. Long answer: you can using iPC 10.5.6 Universal Final, and you need to use the included Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel. Just be aware though, that things may break horribly in 64-bit mode.
  5. New Chameleon Announced!

+1 for boot chime, and +100,000 for boot camp theme. Can't wait to test it!
  6. ImgBurn is a lovely utility, and I used it initially to burn iPC 10.5.6. However, DVD+/-R discs should NEVER EVER EVER be burned at max speed. This creates more room for data loss/corruption. Always burn at 8x or slower. CD's are generally okay at max speed, but DVD's are much more prone to problems related to high speed burning. Just my 2 cents. Leon321: I see you installed the AppleNForceATA driver. This driver NEVER works right. Use AppleNForceATATest instead.
  7. Gigabyte's Nvidia 9400 powered M-ATX MOBO

You could do that, but it'll tell you that your system is unsupported, because nVidia doesn't distribute OS X drivers, and neither does ATI. The only way to get official drivers is from an Apple OS X install disc. You could also "steal" them from any Mac in an Apple Store with a USB Flash drive...
  9. Low Profile / Half Height and OS X?

Yep. Should work just fine. I just noticed a bug in my installer though, so I'll have to get that ironed out.
  10. Low Profile / Half Height and OS X?

If you want to spend ~$100, I would suggest the Jaton 1GB 9500 GT. It can be found on newegg. It will work well with my nVidia 9500 GT Driver installer.
  11. Biostar MCP6P-M2 motherboard

I have this same motherboard and it works GREAT! Audio is supported with the use of AppleAzaliaAudio package (comes in Kalyway 10.5.2, iDeneb 10.5.4, and iPC 10.5.6). Nforce ethernet is a little strange, as the forcedeth driver doesn't work with this board. You have to use NforceLAN (located here). Version 0.62.12n works fine here. The onboard GeForce 6150SE has no known possible way of working with QE/CI support. If you don't want to spend much money for a video card, I would get an ASUS 7200GS. It's no longer available on newegg, but the Gigabyte version of that board should work fine. I've been using iPC 10.5.6 on this board with a Galaxy 9500GT and it works marvelously. The best part is, iPC includes the Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel, which enables SSE3 and has the cool on-the-fly opcode patcher, so you don't have to worry about updates and Apple programs killing the machine.
  12. The NVIDIA 9500GT Thread

I had this problem as well. Your card has 2 DVI ports, so I believe the problem can be solved by connecting your display to the other port. I had this problem as well, and felt so stupid after 3 re-installs when I finally figured it out. Try the other port and it should work fine.

  14. The NVIDIA 9500GT Thread

I can confirm 10.5.5 kexts (that is, use the 10.5.5 OpenGL Framework.pkg, NVdarwin.kext, and NVIDIA 9000 Series Driver v2.pkg) work in PCWiz's iPC 10.5.6 with PPF1 and PPF2 applied. I am making a custom install DVD using INSTAHackintosh and see if I can get it integrated. I will post the result if it is confirmed working. Great job, Mrx33!
  15. Make absolutely sure that seatbelt.kext version matches System.kext. My advice would be to replace your current kernel with Voodoo 9.5.0.
