  1. Why not switch to 10.5 "Leopard"?

    yea this pc doesn't support sse3 thats why, but it'll be great if you can tell me how to upgrade from 10.4.7 to 10.4.11

    yea those 2 threads dont really help...... well i've tried to run mac osx 10.4.7 and 10.4.8(both patched) but i get stuck on the apple screen too, and it always stop when it gets to this line "ApplePS2Trackpad: Synaptics TouchPad v5.9"

    Can I install osx on my laptop? Its a HP Compaq nx9010 here are my specs: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.8 GHz 448MB RAM ATI Radeon IGP 345M Integrated UMA architecture ATI 4X AGP 3D accelerator 40 GB HDD and I've also included a screenshot of CPU-Z of my laptop.

    I am using a Kalyway Leo 10.5.1 disc to try and install, i've got it to boot it goes and a bunch of stuff scrolling down and then it goes to a screen with some writing and i notice this: "panic (cpu 0 caller 0x004314FF0: unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\."lm@ /volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu/xnu-122s/iokit/kernel/IoPlatformExpert.ccp1376" and it'll just stay on that screen, i've already tried boot with -v, cpus=1 -v, -f options

    first off here are my specs- AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ 2GHZ 160GB ATA Hard drive 521MB DDR SDRAM Dual Channel nVidia GeForce 6100 I am using a Kalyway Leo 10.5.1 disc to try and install, i've got it to boot it goes and a bunch of stuff scrolling down and then bam it goes to a screen with some writing and i notice this: "panic (cpu 0 caller 0x004314FF0: unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\."lm@ /volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu/xnu-122s/iokit/kernel/IoPlatformExpert.ccp1376" and it'll just stay on that screen, i've already tried boot with -v, cpus=1 -v, -f options
