hey man can you explain a little bit more how to do that? i got the EDID's for both my lcd screens, my pci root is PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) note how yours is: PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) what I couldn't get is when you say: "add the information from the EDID-file the part between < 00 HH 14...? where is that located? I know that I can find NVDANV50HAL.kext and NVDAresman.kext @ system/lybrary/extentions and i am opening it with text mate but where is that 00 HH 14? also should i edit both NVDANV50HAL and NVDAresman kexts with the same info that you are giving us? I have a GeForce 8800 GTS (G80) and will really appreciate any help. attached are my both EDID files in any case thanks. Archive.zip

  4. Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ?

Damn my story is not a good one: I ordered a 32GB Runcore drive of ebay, got it yesterday, at night came home an opened the mini, when tried to unscrew the screw it got loose, got the other one easily but that one wouldn't unscrew, so after much tough and trying to unscrew it decided to simply destroy the original 4gb one (with pliers) So I did, I cut in half the HDD, and that way then i was able to take out that stupid screw, cleaned off the fallen pieces, plug in the 32GB drives, booted and XP found a 7.xx GB drive while Leo found a 13GB drive, but it cannot be formatted, connected through mini usb on both systems and it finds the 32GB and is able to format it. but no luck on XP or Leo. Now the questions: 1. can it be that the mini is not detecting the 32 GBS for some compatibility issue, maybe the bios needs to be flashed? (i tried to be very careful when cutting the HDD not to mess anything else) 2. anyones heard of this kind of problem? 3. Anyone willing to sell me/borrow their 4GB HDD while i send it to dell? 4. Anyone knows where can I buy a STEC 4GB or 8GB HDD? 5. Any ideas on what to do?

  7. Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R?

yea well thanks for the info, and the thing is I just got this mobo, I used (notate the words used to) have a different board that required me to have a patched version and that is what I am using, since it is so spread over the board can you tell me the way to do it with a retail version (good thing that since I posted this I made sure that I got a copy of a retail disk) so yes for give me for being lazy and for not having the knowledge like other people from this board. oh oh and one more thing, imagine how it must feel when you have a problem, you post it online, wake up happy because you got an answer to your question and it turns out to be someone telling something completely different to the solution you are looking for. Also going through the post there is a lot of info on sound but not on LAN and so that’s why I was asking. Thanks.
  8. Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R?

hey guys I have the GA-EP45C-UD3R from newegg, and the reason i got it is because it is exactly like this card (same ver of hardware) but it will allow me to upgrade to ddr3 in the future (up to 8 gbs) the only problem i have is that the lan (Realtek 8111C) driver doesnt work, I got sound working with the patches provided on the first pages, but im not sure if: i should leave no lan driver seleected at instalation or what? i am using ideneb 5.4 and 5.5 thanks for any help. and please forgive my english.
  9. yea thanks, those were my exact thoughts when I found it, and I already ordered it should have it by Friday
  10. hey I found this, and it gives me both options what do you think? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128364 (if the link is not allowed please let me know, and I will remove it)
  11. Hi, like I said, I am looking for a new mobo so I can run OS X, the one that I have (see sig) is a pain to make work (yes I have followed the guides and still too many freezes) any ways I am looking to spend from $200-250 USD maybe a little bit more. From New Egg preferably. I don’t mind if it is a ddr3 memory based as I am looking to change ram too. What I am trying to accomplish is to run ideneb or kalyway with vanilla kernel. you know like every person, I need to be working: - Sata HDDs and Sata DVDs - Sound, - wired internet, - USB - At least 4GBs of memory - and the hole shebang. Not interested on 1366 socket as I don’t want to upgrade processor. maybe a Gigabyte or Asus mobo, preferably no Intel. I am using Google to research cards that I like but not much info is provided. I am hoping that someone with a similar sistem will let me know of a good choise, thanks and pease.
