1. Hi everyone, I just managed to get SnowLeopard installed and when I went to patch my DSDT with the Patcher GUI, it gave me a syntax error and failed to patch completely. I have attached the Session Folder that has the debug.log, dsdt.dsl, and dsdt fixed files. The error that is shown is as follows: ./dsdt_fixed.txt 6687: Store (RTMP (TPMP), Store (RTNP, TPNP)) Error 4095 - syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_STORE ^ I would greatly appreciate any and all help that you can provide. http://pastebin.com/icuQq3MR <--Pastebin link to the dsdt.dsl file. 10.5.7 on an Asus P5QL/EPU

Hey all Sorry for the bump to the post. I have a P5QL/EPU running AsusTek 0408 bios. I have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.5GHz with an nVidia 9800GT. I have tried time and time again to get an install to work using an EmpireEFI disc and always keep getting an EBIOS Error: Error 0x09 when i try to run the retail install cd (i even bought a new disc just to make sure). I changed the AHCI back to Enchanced IDE and now I do not receive the EBIOS error and am able to launch into the Installer. Will not running in AHCI cause me problems later? Thanks in advance for any response.
3. I Turned off AHCI and set my computer back to Enhanced IDE and now I can run the EmpireEFI disc and boot into a retail 10.6.3 just fine so far. In the process of installing. Anyone know if running in Enhanched IDE will cause any issues since I can't seem to get AHCI working without EBIOS error 0x09?
4. I tried both of those to no avail. It shows the apple logo for a few brief seconds then poof, restarts the computer. I also tried ##### and got the same "EBIOS read error: Error 0x09 Block 0x1ee938 Sectors 0" error. I have AHCI turned on, jmicron turned off, ACPI 2.0 is turned on, and only one drive is plugged in.
5. Hi everyone. I have an Asus P5QL/EPU motherboard, Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @2.5GHz, and nVidia 9800GT. I have been trying to install from the retail disc using the EmpireEFI discs and i keep getting an error "Ebios read error: error 0x09 ... Block 0x0 sectors 0" I've seen some people say that P5Q mobos need to a patched bios yet others say you don't and to patch dsdt. Does anyone have any advice on how best to go about installing from the 10.6.0 disc, ideally without having to flash a patched bios? Any and all information and advice would be greatly appreciated. I currently only have a Windows7 install. Note: I have indeed searched the forums for P5QL and none of them seemed to answer my questions. Also would it be better to install an iDeneb 10.5.5 disc then upgrade to 10.6, or install straight to 10.6?
6. Hi everyone, I'm looking into buying a new CPU/Motherboard and i want to make sure itll be compliant with Snow Leo. Motherboad: ASUS P5QL (NB: Intel P43, SB:ICH10) and CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.9 GHZ Right now im using an nVidia 8800 GT thought most likely going to get a 9800GT. Thanks in advance. EDIT: Sorry for the spelling error. Guess thats what i get for typing a forum post after 30 hours of being awake and being horribly sick with a cold

[TOTALLY VANILLA] Retail Snow Leopard

Hi everyone, I have followed this guide among many others and this one has gotten me the closest to actually getting SnowLeo up and running. I have managed to get past the error of it not finishing the install, however I have a new issue. I get past the darwin screen and now it just shows the grey screen with the apple logo and the system freezes. No panic or anything. Keyboard locks up, no beachball or anything. Using -v shows the loading of the kexts then it just goes to the same screen. Any idea on how to solve that? Edited

P5LD2 and Boot-132 help?

Ok so seeing as no one has any ideas how about this: Can i make a boot-132 image with my entire kext folder from my working 10.5.2 (Kalyway) install and boot with that?
9. Hi everyone, I am still fairly new the to Hackint0sh project so please bear with me. I have an Asus P5LD2 R2 mobo, 2xsata hdd, sata dvd burner, usb keyboard/mouse, core 2 duo processor and an eVGA nVidia 8xxx 512mb video card. I have no problem installing and running the Kalayway DVD with the vanilla kernel. I have been trying to make a boot-132 cd for the past 12 hours and have yet to have any luck. I have tried many different kexts in the initrd.img file with no results. The furthest i get is the grey Apple logo and everything freezes. Can someone point me in the right direction? Btw, I have tried both with and without the jmicron files posted on the first post. I have exhausted google search and have found no help there either.
