  1. [WORKING] ATI Radeon HD 4670 (10.6.4)

It doesn't work (I only can have DVI if two cables is connected to card and display, though sometimes display chooses wrong input) for me, as any other so far for some reason. But thank you in any way!
  2. [WORKING] ATI Radeon HD 4670 (10.6.4)

guys, can you please share your current boot-loader (path /boot). I'm going to play with different till I get my dvi working. thanks!
  3. [WORKING] ATI Radeon HD 4670 (10.6.4)

hrkfdn Thank you. I found I have EVOenabler (and other kexts) in /Extra/Extensions/ folder (first forgot about it). Maybe this is the reason DVI doesn't work. But the problem I have KP in ATIRadeonX2000.kext unless I have EVOenabler or ATY_Init injector. How do you guys make your 4670 card working with stock kexts? --added-- hrkfdn Can you please tell me the steps you made? What distro? what ATI related stuff was chosen, updates etc? I'm playing with iATKOS v3 s2. Seems I tried everything already.

  5. [WORKING] ATI Radeon HD 4670 (10.6.4)

guys, can someone share kexts, boot-plist content, and few words about in order to help me have my hd4670 working via DVI in 10.6.4? I made about 20 installation and much more experiments with kext etc, but hadn't much luck (such a looser). I'm using iATKOS S3 v2 as starting point. Thanks a lot!
  6. [WORKING] ATI Radeon HD 4670 (10.6.4)

I have some success with my 4670 (works only via VGA though), so my score is MIN:148, MAX:180 for 1024x768 Scene1. Hope it helps. Sapphire 4670 10.6.4 C2D 2160 1.8GHz
  7. [WORKING] ATI Radeon HD 4670 (10.6.4)

Thank you, man. I studied a tread you mentioned (together with ones related). But I had no luck. I can't even have it working for one display with QE/CI and full resolution (iATKOS s3 v2, AsereBLN, different set of video kexts (with card ID) etc => "No Kext Loaded" or KP). Don't know what I did wrong. In any way I have just returned that card, and hopefully later today will take Sapphire 4670. Seems like these cards have better support. Btw, I think you should proud by your purposefulness in getting your 4650 card work with several displays
  8. [WORKING] ATI Radeon HD 4670 (10.6.4)

Should it work for HD4650 card as well? thanx.
  9. DSDT editor and patcher

Thank you for your help and explanation, mate! DSDT patching seems promising great opportunities, I wish I was more skilled at this. I'm going to develop in XCode for some time, and therefore to use Mac OS a lot, so probably it's a good chance for me to extend my knowledge have a great weekend!
  10. DSDT editor and patcher

Thank you in any way. I can manipulate with my DSDT under win7. I usually configure fan speed in this way. I would like to make the same for Snow Leo, but so seems it will wait until I have time to dive into it somewhen
  11. DSDT editor and patcher

Thank you very much for taking a look. I'm moving to a new HDD so couldn't answer earlier. Please find attached newly extracted ASL/(DSL?) from my current Snow Leo (it's iATKOS s3 ver.2 10.6.3 updated to 10.6.4 via Apple Update). Also, I included a set of other extracted ASL files: 1. from my previous SL (HAZARD 10.6.2) 2. from win7 by iasl 3. from win7 by DSTDReader (*.aml) and then decompiled by MS ASL Compiler v.3.0.1 Maybe they help you to investigate what is wrong with the main ASL file. I also tried to get ASL under Ubuntu, but to my shame I couldn't get it. If you want I can make another try. I appreciate your help, man! but please don't spend much time with it. Thank you, I have some experience with DSDT under Windows, but I'm guided by some manual like these in links. But I hardly have understanding of whole basic thing. I should digg here. Yes, this is my original code. I extracted it again. iATKOS_newly_original.asl.zip another_sample_ASL.zip
  12. DSDT editor and patcher

thank you man. Though seems I hardly have an idea how to make it work. Is there any manuals describing the DSDT? E.g. how can I find anything regarding the CPU temperature or USB at *.asl? And compiling my ASL I mostly have the errors that like: Object does not exist (\TZ.C1F0) so is the solution just an adding at the very top a declaration like below? External (\TZ.C1F0)
  13. DSDT editor and patcher

I'm trying to set new values for fan speed for HP 8510p laptop. I made the same under Windows. Basically I need to edit the values: Name (C358, Package (0x06) { 0x64, 0x4B, 0x3C, 0x32, 0x1E, 0x00 }) But I can neither compile the whole *.als nor make a patch. As for patch making DSDT Editor doesn't even accept as simple stuff as (which is a part of patches from provided package) into_all all code_regex AZAL replaceall_matched begin HDEF end; It says: // into_all all code_regex AZAL replaceall_matched // Invalid command What I'm doing wrong? Can somebody take a look at my *.asl file please? And what is the proper way: to compile and apply whole aml or prepare the patch? dsdt_01_fan_decreased.asl.zip
  14. hi guys, I meet the same trouble all the time... I have linux, win7 and mac on the same disk. And Windows often runs the check disk utility, and finally stops working properly (hibernate doesn't work, programs don't load etc). Mac also seemed to be affected by Win as it's behavior isn't flat: sometimes it fails to start (then I have to restart the laptop) Seems like operation systems affect each other partitions in some way. I use MBR, boot menu via grub2. I have 1-2Mb gap between each partition. I used to perform partitioning under Ubuntu in GPedit (sometimes I format/erase the disk during Mac/Win installation though) I have such disk partitions: |_GRUB2(ext2)_| |_win7(ntfs)_| |_SnowLeo(hfs+)_| |_{_extended:_[ntfs]_+_[ntfs]_}_| Does anyone have an idea what is the reason for this problem? thank you for reading.
  15. hackmymac I know that there're guys who also enjoyed the dong's drivers. But again I don't know if there's any one with non-Toshiba laptop. dekobastos You should try dong's Framebuffer driver, here is the thread.
