  2. Hi frinchkin! Hehe nice to hear that asus released a new bios that fixed some of the problems, what bios setting do you have so you could get it to work? And what relase of os x are you using? Im stuck at some geforce.kext now, i think os x dosent like my radeon x800 gfx :/ Peace
  3. ACPI Panic Under VM and Native

Welcome to the club! Your not alone with this problem, do you got the A8N-VM motherboard? From what I know theres a problem in our bios that makes os x going panic; http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...642&hl=homework Even the linux guys cant install their os with this board... What versions of os x have you tried to install? Im trying to get to the problem of whats wrong because theres a solution to the problem, there always is.. What rig are you using? take care
  4. Great noone answers! Anyone other with this problem? I couldnt get the Generic dvd to install native, via vmware it worked like a charm...
  5. Ive also got this problem with the exact mobo... What version of OS X can you run as a native OS? Because if we are able to run one of the versions theres some hack that could be done to fix so we can use the latest version of os x!? Im gonna try to install Apple.OS.X.x86.10.4.Generic.Install.DVD now and Ill check with the mach_kernel files and try to check the difference between the cores and compare them because if its the DSDT tables that fcks up everything we maybe could do as they did on that mailling list frinchkin linked to in one of his post here... take care If you got any tip / answer on this post it ASAP!
  6. need help please

frinchkin did you get it to work? Ive read all your post about the mobo and I got the mobo and the same problems that you had with the kernel panic due to "Unable to find driver for platform: ACPI." Ive installed it smoothly via vmware but when I try to boot it natively it just goes kernelpanic... Any suggestions and tips?
