1. using your method is the farthest ive ever gotten, the only part im stuck on is updating to 1.6.8, i download the 1.6.8 1.1 combo and when i try to run it on SL it says its corrupt for some reason, i dont know if its the one from Apple or what any ideas where an alternate place to download would be? thanks
2. Hey all, I apologize for this post but I've been pouring over the forums and havn't been able to solve this issue. I just built a new pc and am attempting to install Snow Leopard, I've done a bunch of different methods i've come across. Most just say boot off ##### and swap to the disc and install, when I use ##### it kernel panics before it gets to asking for the SL disc. So i tried ##### Legacy, which boots fine, i toss in the SL disc and before it loads install it reboots the PC. I came across an only 10.6.3 iATOKIS (whatever it is) disc and that somehow worked fine but i had to copy the kernel over so it would boot off the drive, then i attempted to update it to 10.6.8 using the ##### method and now it too wont boot. Does anyone have any ideas? Am i missing a setting in the bios i need to change? right now i have it set to defaults mostly, changed a few things including AHCI. can anyone point me in the proper direction? eventually i'd love to get Lion up and running of course but first things first. thanks for any help you all can provide. 3. I havn't had problems updating to 10.4.10 with any of the methods floating around. the problem is always the kernel. Ive tried 2 or 3 different ones ive seen and either it panics or just scrolls lots of errors with bad callouts or whatever. same thing with this installer.
4. I wondered this also, Ive been using the yellow and the speed seems fine. I'll change to the purple and see if i notice a difference. i'll google xbench and test it edit: so i updated to 10.4.10 and kept getting waiting for root device, switched to the purple ports and it loaded right up. i guess that answers the other question i had
5. I havn't been able to get Parallels to boot my xp either, Vmware Fusion works though
