  1. Motu 8pre not recognized uner SL

I do not have a FW hd but i have checked With IORegistryExplorer It sees it without problem. And also i have a friend who has a genuine macbook and he has the same problem with his 828 Mk2. It has to be something else. Anyway i might just have to wait for a driver update.
  2. Hi guys! I have 2 systems on my hack a 10.5.7 and 10.6. Under snow leopard my MOTU 8 pre card is not recognized although it should be according to MOTU. I've read many threads on many forums about that and no solution so far. Here are my specs: Gigabyte P35DS3L - intel Q6600(no speedstep) - Nvidia8500GT(512) - Corsair 8 GIG 800Mhz - Belkin generic FW card Any ideas? Cheers!
  3. Hello there! I've got a problem folks. Under my snow leopard if i overclock my cpu it ignores it (i made a custom dsdt using Blackosx's guide). However my other install 10.5.7 doesn't. Why is that? Thanks in advance! Slam
  4. I got it finally thanks! However the BIOS reset is not fixed. Do i need another patcher for that?
  5. Thaks for the reply. So that means i have to install windows on my system to get that patcher running. I cannot do it. Is there a way around it to stay in osx?
  6. Is there anyone out there to help me? Or I'm the only one with this sort of problem?
  7. Hi all, I used this method: http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build...start-to-finish It worked fine apart from one weird thing. My system profiler wouldn't recognize my firewire card. So i cannot use my motu 8 pre. I don't want the onboard soundcard. I also tried to run Logic and Final cut with no luck. I have the P35 DS3L mobo. Any ideas? Thanks!
  8. Hi, I have a Gigabyte 3DSL mobo based hackintos running 10.5.5 with 2 hard drives. One of them(on which i have all my important data which is not the system drive) started to act strangely. It became very slow. I cannot use Final Cut logic and even itunes anymore. I tried with simple copy processes as well. Here are the results: the write speed is ok but when i start to copy something (which is larger than 300MB) from it to the other drive, around 250-300 it slows down massively to a few hundred Kbit/s. I checked the drive with disk utility and it seems fine. Can anyone please help me? I'm about to mix an album and i cannot do it unless it's fixed.
  9. [HNG] Magyar osx_86 topik

Sziasztok! Amióta nincs IDE eszköz a gépen, tökéletesen működik. Remélem tudtam segíteni ezzel.
  10. Hi, It's probably a newbie question but ow can you type these? I installed Chameleon but when it boots up it boots automatically.

    Szia! Jól tetted!
  12. Hi All, I'm a newbie here i suppose and I've just built a machine following tseug's excellent guide but still i have some problems. First of all here's my setup -GA-P35-DS3L with F7 bios. (In BIOS Settings I have the No Execute protect turned on, the HPET controller enabled set to 64bit mode, have the C1E enabled, the TM2 enabled plus my normal overclocking settings enabled in the M.I.T. -Intel Q6600 2.4 1066 fsb guaranteed to run at 3 Ghz(well that's my first problem) - arctic pro 7 cooler -8GB Corsair ram at 800 Mhz - nVidia 8500 GT 512 RAM - 1 SATA HD - 1 SATA DVD ROM - 1 IDE HD So i'm having a LOT of kernel panics some reason. First i tried to overclock the CPU but it NEVER goes above 2.88. And at this speed the temp was around 60 degrees all the time. At 3 Ghz osx does not even start. It crashes at the grey screen. So i gave up on that. I read that the IDE hd causes the panics, so i unplugged it. I set the CPU fan to constant speed in BIOS so the temp is ok now. I havent had a panic with these settings for nearly an hour now, but i'll continue testing. If someone could help me out here what to do i would be very grateful. Cheers!
