  1. Intel PRO/100 VE NIC

hi i have a toshiba equium a100-337. installed iatos latest version, and i am still having problems with wired lan, toshiba informs me that i have a intel pro / 1000pl gigabit lan which "should" be 0x109a8086, but if i run the sys info checker thingy - me -bob it tells me that i have intel 10/100 ve ethernet adaptor which is 0x10928086. i also have a 3945 wireless card, which is not recognised for obvious reasons! Should my OS "see" either of these devices? currently my primary eth0 is my usb realtek card, then it shows eth1 as firewire. can any confirm if a have a hope in hell of getting my wired ethernet to work? i have tried many things like adding codes to plists etc, but i have never had a built - in ethernet device showing? should i get this at some point? thanks in advance all!
