  1. I have the same issue with airport card. I have linksys wmp54g v2. its a broadcom 4320 chipset. Mine works when I boot into safe mode (-x boot option). I think there some kext causing the issue. Below are the kexts that are not loaded in safe mode compared to normal boot. Does anyone know if I have to delete any of these to get airport working again? com.apple.iokit.IOSerialFamily (10.0.3) <7 6 5 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.Apple16X50Serial (3.0) <63 9 5 4 3> - Questionable com.apple.driver.Apple16X50ACPI (3.0) <64 8 4 3> com.apple.iokit.AppleProfileFamily (41) <9 7 6 5 4 3 1> Questionable com.apple.driver.AppleIntelMeromProfile (19.1) <69 6 5 4 3> com.apple.iokit.IOFireWireIP (2.0.3) <56 37 5 4 3 1> com.apple.kext.OSvKernDSPLib (1.3) <5 4> - Audio com.apple.iokit.IOAudioFamily (1.7.9fc4) <78 5 4 3 1> - Audio org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA (0.2.1) <79 9 7 5 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AudioIPCDriver (1.1.6) <79 5 4 3 1> Itunes com.apple.GeForce (6.2.4) <73 72 67 9 7 6 5 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AudioAUUC (1.13) <79 67 9 8 7 5 4 3 1> - Audio com.apple.driver.AppleMCCSControl (1.0.17) <67 9 7 5 4 3 1> com.apple.iokit.IOBluetoothSerialManager (2.3.8f7) <63 7 5 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AppleUpstreamUserClient (3.4.5) <67 9 8 7 5 4 3 1> com.apple.iokit.IOSurface (74.2) <7 5 4 3 1> - Graphics com.apple.driver.AppleProfileCallstackAction (20) <69 5 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AppleProfileKEventAction (10) <69 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AppleProfileRegisterStateAction (10) <69 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AppleProfileThreadInfoAction (14) <69 6 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AppleProfileTimestampAction (10) <69 5 4 3 1> com.apple.driver.AppleProfileReadCounterAction (17) <69 6 4 3> com.apple.driver.AppleUSBMergeNub (4.1.5)

    10.6.5 is out

Any luck with this? I lost my wifi too. Mine was a broadcom 4320 chipset too. I have tried all you mentioned above as well.
  3. PCEFI 10.6 which I think is based on Chameleon RC3. I have tried RC4 as well with same results. When I use custom ROM I think it is loading for sure because the resolution changes on next boot. Also shows up in the Sys profiler.
  4. I have XFX 9800GT 512MB dual DVI Ports. This workaround does not work for me. When I set it to load this MacPro8800GT ROM as per bigfish instruction. I get video(no blank screen) over dvi/hdmi connection(cable with DVI male on one end and HDMI male on the other). But soon after login my display freezes. It does that as soon as I do something that would trigger QE/CI. I dumped my XFX 9800GT rom and its 64kb vs 128kb for Mac version. My VGA cable using DVI/VGA converter works fine. Did anyone run into something like this?
  5. I tried inserting deviceids in NVDAResman.kext and NVDANV50Hal.kext. It did not help. Mine is xfx 9800GT 512MB. I entered 0x060510de + xxxxxx=same as 0x060010de for my card. Got my ids from System Profiler. 0605 - device id 10de - vendor id I switched to VGA connection using DVI->VGA adapter. I get full acceleration with GraphicsEnabler=Yes in boot.plist file. need some solutions here !

Any Success on an Asus P5B?

Everything works on my P5B Vanilla. I did clean install to another drive. I had to move extensions from /Extras to /S/L/E and fix the permissions. I am using following extensions: VodooHDA, OpenRestartShutdown, SleepEnabler, fakesmc(get latest from netkas) dmos(get latest from netkas). Mine is booting in x64 and is very stable with sleep, shutdown & restart working. - I used the Chameleon RC1 + PCEFI 10.1 installer after the install via OSInstall.mpkg method - Drop the above mentioned extensions and fix permissions using the Chmod & chown commands. - I had issue with Disk utility verify disk after the install. It was throwing up KPs. After I booted into SL for the first time. I did a reinstall over the current install using the Retail DVD and reinstall BSD.pkg. since then everything is fine and stable. Disk Utility works as well. Good Luck!
