  1. I have been at this for about 4 days and tried many methods to finally get things rolling. Hardware wise I have GA-P45-DSR3 mobo (F10 bios), 8800GTS 320mb video card, and 2 hard drives. My end goal is to have OSX on my first hard drive as my main OS and a vista/OSX dual boot on my second hard drive (for which to service the first drive). So far all attempts to install have resulted in the same same: I get the grey apple, the screen tries to "refresh" with darker grey, makes it half way down and freezes. I assume this is trying to update the screen to tell me I have to restart, but doesn't make it. In a -v -x boot it loads the (vanilla) kernel, shows me my system model name, then freezes. I have Kalyway 10.5.2 on the second hard drive I have done the work from, but I was hoping to load the first drive from the retail DVD. The DVD I have been working from came from my Macbook Pro (10.5.5) I just bought, and so fay I haven't tried to download anything else. Since all my attempts (about 4 different methods a total of 8 times) have resulted in the same outcome, I think I am doing something wrong at a higher level. Best I can figure it, it has to be one of the following: 1) The disc that came with my macbook pro is not equal to a retail disc and some other step is needed, or I need to download a real retail disc. 2) Some settings in my bios or hardware setup are not correct. I doubt this is the case, as I have Kalyway up, but a possibility none the less. 3) Even though I have used 4-5 different variations of kexts and used EFI studio, I am still missing a step or driver when setting up the OS. Other than that, I can't figure it out. I finally wiped the first drive and installed Ubuntu and will continue to experiment on the second drive until I get a combination that works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I saw from a follow-up post on another thread you got this working. How? I have the same motherboard with an 8800 GTS and every time I attempt to use a retail boot I get the apple screen and it looks like it wants to refresh, and get's stuck half way. I have tried 3 different methods. At this point the only thing I have gotten working is Kalyway 10.5.2, which I want to avoid using as a permanent solution. Any help would be awesome!
  3. Same problem here, can't get anything I have to work for this card. My original post is here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...p;hl=EXPI9300PT
  4. Intel EXPI9300PT PCI-E Network Card

Anyone have any info on this one? At this point this is the last thing preventing me from running on this PC without actually getting new hardware (which is a bit cost prohibitive at the moment).
  5. I have perused the site for a few days now, but cannot find compatible drivers for my Intel EXPI9300 PCI-E network card. It uses the Intel 82572GI network processor. I installed the Kalyway 10.5.2 network driver set, and those definitely don't work out of the box. Looking around the forums I have seen other 8257X solutions, but none have seemed to work for me. I have an ASUS P5K motherboard. Is it possible that I do not have the correct drivers for the PCI-E interface? Is there any way I can tell what hardware is present that OSX doesn't recognize?
