  1. Averatec All-in-One

Hey guys, So Im moving into my dorm next monday and I decided to buy me a 'pooter. I bought myself the Averatec All-in-One 22 incher and am planning on partitioning the hardrive to beta test windows 7, woot! now, I was wondering if its possible to dual boot (or tri-boot) with osx 10.5. Ive succesfully booted osx through my families dell inspiron 530 so I know some of the lingo. Heres what the machine is rocking: http://shopper.cnet.com/desktops/averatec-...300.html#info-5 Processor Type Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 / 2.4 GHz Multi-Core processor technology Dual-Core 64-bit processor Yes Installed Qty 1 Max processors supported 1 Mainboard Chipset type Intel G35 Express Data bus speed 800 MHz RAM Installed Size 2 GB / 4 GB (max) Technology DDR2 SDRAM Memory speed 667 MHz Memory specification compliance PC2-5300 RAM form factor SO DIMM 200-pin RAM configuration features 2 x 1 GB Upgrade rule (RAM) Max 2 x 2 GB module Storage Controller Type 1 x Serial ATA - Integrated Controller interface type Serial ATA-300 Storage Controller (2nd) Type None Storage Floppy drive type None Hard Drive 1 x 320 GB - Standard - Serial ATA-300 - 7200 rpm Hard Drive (2nd) None Hard Drive (3rd) None Optical Storage Type DVD?RW (?R DL) / DVD-RAM Optical Storage (2nd) Type None Storage Removable Type None Monitor Monitor Type Flat panel display - TFT active matrix Display (projector) diagonal size 22 in Max Resolution 1680 x 1050 Graphics Controller Graphics Processor / Vendor NVIDIA GeForce 8400M Audio Output Type Sound card - Integrated Input Device Type Mouse, Keyboard Keyboard Keyboard connectivity Wireless Keyboard localization and layout QWERTY Mouse Mouse connectivity Wireless Mouse technology Optical Mouse features Scroll Audio Input Type Microphone Telecom Modem None Networking Networking Network adapter Wireless LAN Supported Yes Data Link Protocol Gigabit Ethernet, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g Compliant Standards IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.3x, IEEE 802.11g Printer Type None Expansion / Connectivity Expansion Slots Total (Free) 2 ( 0 ) x Memory - SO DIMM 200-pin Interfaces 1 x Audio - SPDIF output - TOSLINK, 1 x Display / video - DVI-Digital output, 1 x Network - Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T - RJ-45, 6 x Hi-Speed USB - 4 pin USB Type A Miscellaneous Features Remote control, Camera, 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Operating System / Software OS Provided Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Software ZoneAlarm, Microsoft Office 2007 (Trial), Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.0, CyberLink DVD Suite Manufacturer Warranty Service & Support 1 year warranty Service & Support Details Limited warranty - Parts and labor - 1 year Card Reader Card reader 4 in 1 card reader Supported flash memory cards MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick Pro, SmartMedia Card, Memory Stick So yeah im assuming the big things are processor which is an intel so im not so worried, the graphics card which Im not sure but i think Nv inject will work with but I might need to troll the forum to find support on that, the Ethernet or wifi is huge in this case. The Tv tuner would kick ass if it would work but im not banking on that. I dunno I just thought itd be cool to shove some OSx on this thing being as its a iMac competitor and its cheap as {censored} compared to the iMac. I was thinking Leo4all just because im used to it but I also have iDeneb on a DVD so I might try it out to. Vannila? Any help is good help! and ill let people know how it goes and if it works I will post a tutorial. Yitzy
  2. Installing on Dell Inspiron 530

Hey, So I am a complete noob when it comes to hackintosh and I've been reading over this forum and I have a couple questions/desperate pleas of help. The first one is, I'm planning on doing this with leo4allv3 and since I've never done this before I was wondering if someone could maybe PM me a complete walk through of the leo4all (like what to pick when customizing the install) install for the inspiron 530. For the network and graphics issues I read that a ethernet to usb connector works perfectly fine instead of a new network card, and for the graphics im planning on getting the ATI RADEON HD2600 PRO from best buy (cause its cheap and works according to you guys). The thing is I probably wont have either of the two things (usb to ethernet or ati graphics card) with me when I want to install leo so I would need to know what things to pick when customizing my install. Thanks a lot in advance for any help I can get
  3. would this be a good temporary solution to the line in/out problem? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16829128004 I know its kinda dumb but if your going to put down 20 bucks for a new wifi card it doesn't seem that unreasonable. and good luck to all trying to crack the line in/out problem!
