  1. Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

    The display upgrade requires a converter board. Instead on my 1600x900, in OS X I just scale up using this method: https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/4c66ox/x220_os_x_adding_scaled_resolutions_1536_x_864/? Here's is the Override I created: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>DisplayProductName</key> <string>Lenovo T420 Display</string> <key>DisplayProductID</key> <integer>738</integer> <key>DisplayVendorID</key> <integer>12516</integer> <key>scale-resolutions</key> <array> <data>AAAHgAAABDg=</data> </array> </dict> </plist> Cheaper than buying a converter board and new screen and to me it's very usable.
  2. I'm running ESXi 6.0 on a HP N54L Microserver that AMD based and I get this error: "The firmware encountered an unexpected exception. The virtual machine cannot boot." On the same system on 5.5, I could run Mavericks fine and now I get this error on 6.0 after using Unlocker. Any ideas?

  4. OSX 10.5.8 is now in software update

Installed on my original Kalyway 10.5.2 -> 10.5.7 w/ Chameleon 2.0rc2 without any issues. Had to reinstall sound drivers, but otherwise it's fine.
  5. 10.5.7 Released

I thought I answered this but you have to remove the Don't Steal This Software.kext and the AppleTyMCEDriver.kext and make sure you have dsmos, appledecrypt and appleintelcpupm disabler kexts installed. You can do this in Single User mode or Terminal from the install CD.
  6. 10.5.7 Released

It's not magic. Boot-132 allowed the cache to build correctly. While you are booted into the system you should upgrade to Chameleon 2.0RC-1. That's how I got my problem resolved.
  7. 10.5.7 Released

Yeah but you have to remove the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and modify the installer script to use dsmos.kext.
  8. 10.5.7 Released

Tell it to boot device 80 (first hard disk) or 81 (second hard disk).
  9. 10.5.7 Released

Same area where mine stopped. I flushed the kext cache and then booted with a Boot-132 CD on device 80 and the GUI loaded. After I could reboot without the CD because the kext cache was based on the Boot-132 CD. The only difference that I can tell is that Chameleon was 1.0.12 on my hard disk and on the Boot-132 CD it was newer. I went ahead and moved my hard disk's Chameleon to 2.0RC1 and flushed the cache again and the problem has seemed to go away.
  10. 10.5.7 Released

Updated Kalyway 10.5.6 installation (originally from 10.5.2) to 10.5.7 using the combo update, won't boot into GUI or safe mode. Using -v it stays stuck after detecting IO and does not move on. Made sure the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext was deleted and cleared the cache. Normal boot up goes to grey screen and gear at the bottom spins without end. Any ideas?

  12. 8800GT Blank screen problem -- solved?

I have Aperture 2.1.1 installed, no problems if I let my rc.shutdown/rc.reboot script take care of the caches.
  13. Gfx lags after 10.5.4 update

You can fix it by going here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=820043
  14. Gfx lags after 10.5.4 update

You lost Core Image and it's being rendered in software, instead of hardware accelerated.
  15. Any of the drivers will work. You just have to set your NVCAP string for TV out. Follow this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=103549
