  1. Hmmmmm. . . I see listed 0x94c81002 0x94c91002 so Mbility 2400 HD. Is it real or I'm dreaming
  2. HD2600PRO - Blue screen after booting

This has to do with the fact that MAC probes another monitor (non existent) which it considers first monitor where the icons and things are. your monitor is secondary. After it comes out of sleep it checks for monitors and finds only the real one. Aldo
  3. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

Yes Ed We know that If you need graphics on your internal monitor reove ATIRadeonX2000.kext from /System/Library/Extensions/ and even Natit.kext if there. So You'll have a 1024X780X60Hz res. Hey guys does anyone know the group who's working on these cards. I'might be a good tester for them :censored2: . Some more details: I saw on other older topics regarding Natit and oler radeons on Laptops with EDID mods(X1600-X1700). I believe that's the way we can fix our Monitors (Yeah Mac knows our cards well the problem is that it doesn't probe the monitor at all) the mointor stays black as some state pins were disconnected. I tried to put my EDID(extraced with phoenix with VISTA) on the Natit.kext/Contents/Info.plist but to no avail. Aldo
  4. Optiarc DVD RW AD-7540A ATA

Thanks Man It works fine on VGA display Anyway I can't use Toast with the laptop monitor :-( (no graphic acceleration) but the ATA driver seems to work. PS: I still don't get it it did the installation using that DVD - ROM and after did not probe the connector :censored2:
  5. Hi People I have a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pi 2540. I installed successfully Leo4all 3.0 but now it seems it doesn't recognise the DVD RW drive. It is a Optiarc DVD RW AD-7540A ATA (at least this is how vista lists it on device manager). Toast doesn't find any DVD or CD RW devices. In System Profiler it doesn't lists at all. I searched around but could not find any useful info. Any ideas? Thanks in Advance Aldo
  6. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

No matter any more I used Leo4all V3 and now i can boot Waiting for some gury to put the hand at their harts and check why these damn cards are giving probs
  7. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

Hmmm... strange With natit i can boot fine on external monitor. No CI/QE as I don't have ATIRadeonX2000.kext
  8. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

It is not that dificult to find the PCI ID of your card. Go to About this Mac open System profiler with the second button. Click the Graphis Cards on the list and you'll se details about the card. The vendor Id should be 1002 (ATI) and the PCI ID should be smth like 94cX where X is some number (this if you have a 2400 HD chip) You may check the screenshot Clark971 has provided, there left to the Fourniteur (Vendor) you have 0x1002 (aka ATI) And left to the Identifant du Periferique (Device Id) you have 0x9481 <- This is the PCI ID of Clark971. Clark971 may add 0x94811002 on ATIRadeonX2000.kext, while you sume5h should check yours. PS: Those were not my instructions just results of testing the topic you mentioned above "[HOW TO] ATI Radeon HD 2400 / 2600 / 2900 / 3850 / 3870 on Leopard" PS2: Clark It seems your 2600 mobility is better working with natit.kext. This is strange as the LVDS connector is the same. But than For you clark remains fixing the ATIRadeonX2000.kext to talk to LVDS. But your PCI ID 9481 the 1 shows standard Radeon not mobility. How does windows identifies your graphic card?
  9. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

OMG Clark971 natit.kext works with internal monitor on ATI Mobilities. Please share us what you did. First thing for us on mobilities is to enable the internal monitors on natit.kext than we can focus on CI/QE PS: As per the thread on non mobility radeons CI/QE should be enabled on Mobilities on external monitor using that natit.kext and the ATIRadeonX2000.kext Thanks Aldo
  10. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

Natit.kext works fine with or without CE/QI but in external monitor it does not probe the Internal monitor. Natit.kext does not enable CE/QI. To enable that you have to modify info.plist inside ATIRadeonX2000.kext. This will work as your card was a ATI Radeon 2XXX(or even 3XXX) HD but this means that the intrnal monitor will not be probed sadly.
  11. I was hexediting natit the binnary inside MacOS folder and found 0x94c9 listed as ATI Radeon 2900GT series While this PCI ID is the same as my Mobility Radeon 2400 HD Can it be the reason that why it is failing to understand the internal LCD monitor on my notebook?
  12. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

sume5hIf you need other resolutions check the threads on how you can achieve that by changing com.apple.Boot......Did you do anything after installing Kalway 10.5.2??Aldo The problem here is we're confusing Mobility X2300 with mobility 2300 HD.But If Sume5h has it working CI/QE it can be helpful knowing what he did
  13. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

One question though On ati site there are no drivers for mobility series on Mac OS X I seems the IBook-s use Radeon HD-s not mobility.
  14. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

following igyos logic we should fix our drivers with the X2300 Method above .. ??
  15. ATI Mobility RADEON HD Series(Still Not supported)

Hmm ... The Mobility X2300 is nothing like ours for several reasons. It uses ATIRadeonX1000.kext and furthermore it has a PCI ID 7XXX while we are on 94c9 which means we'll have to modify the natit drivers for Radeon 2400 HD which is on the range 94c1-4 I'm not hoping for any other to solve this (As they should have a notebook to try). We have to find any solution ourselves. What we need now is to get documented on another similar solution for LVDS connectors for internal laptop monitors. If you can point me somewhere on this forum that will be helpful. Than we should try to modify any existing driver that works for other Radeons not Mobility. But It will take me some time to understand how this drivers work . If some more experienced guy would give us some directions that would be great. PS:If we could fix this graphics thing i could turn to Mac totally Aldo
