    wifi card question

Hello everyone, I have leo 10.5.2 installed on my HP pavillion dv6568se laptop. the wifi card included in this laptop is 4965abg. As of now this card hasn't been fixed. I need to have wifi working, so I figured to change the wifi card in my laptop. But I have two questions that I would like to be answered. Will any mini PCI express card fit in my laptop? Do you guys have any suggestions?? I looked in the OSX86 wiki and found this card: Mini PCI Express Card Atheros AR5BXB6. Is it any good and will it fit in my laptop?
  2. Hello everyone, I recently updated to 10.5.4 from 10.5.2, my webcam used to work like a charm on 10.5.2 but it is not working anymore. Is there a kext that need to be installed so that it will work?? In system profile it detects it and here is the info: HP Webcam: Version: 6.06 Bus Power (mA): 500 Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec Manufacturer: Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd. Product ID: 0xb015 Serial Number: SN0001 Vendor ID: 0x04f2 Thank you in advance for your help.

2 noob questions to be answered

Thank you so much!!! It worked!!! I can now update via apple software update. I only have one other problem and that is my wi-fi. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hello everyone, I have to questions that I would like to be answered. The first one goes like this, recently I installed mac osx 10.5.2 on my hp pavillion dv6568se. Everything works fine except for one thing: wi-fi. I have tried to install the iwi4965.kext and followed the instructions Lofn but without any success. Now I believe that my only option would be to buy a usb wireless adapter for my laptop. Which one to buy that is really good that is compatible with my laptop and with OS X86?? I need wi-fi to work and seems the best for my problem right now. Any suggestions are welcome. When I installed OSX 86 on my laptop I thought that my cpu was SSE2, but in fact it is SSE3. I installed the patch for SSE2. Now I would like to install apple updates without my laptop going crazy. I heard somewhere that you can`t update using apple software update when you have that patch installed. Is there a way to remove that patch so that I can update via apple software update without any problems? Thank you for your help,

    Very basic question

Really?? Maybe I installed it the wrong way. I think I will install the update and reinstall OSX if it screws up.

    Very basic question

Hello everyone, I recently installed kalyway leo 10.5.3 on my pavillion dv6568. When I installed it, I used the SSE2 patch because I have core 2 duo. Now, I did the software update and noticed that there is an update from apple 10.5.4. My question is: Can I update it without screwing up my system even if I have the SSE2 patch? Should I update from kalyway instead? Thank you

    Wireless problem

Hello everyone, I know that there has been many threads on the subject, but I couldn`t find one on my notebook. I own a HP Pavillion dv6568 se laptop. Everything works fine the only problem is that wireless doesn`t seem to work. If there`s already a solution for that laptop and that I just wasted your time, then could you just redirect me to that specific thread and will post any questions in here. Also, I noticed that there is a 1.5.4 update from apple. Can I install it even if I have the SSE2 patch enabled? Thank you for your time.

    Little problems after installation

Thanks for your reply. I checked in the system profiler but honestly I don`t know where to check. What is HCL?? Also, wireless seems to not work. How do you fix that?? Thank you, Frank
  10. Hello Everyone, I am new to the whole OS86 scene. I just recently installed Mac OS X 10.5.2 on my HDD as master. I am not using dual. Everything seems to work just fine except I still do have some small problems. The audio is working after I installed Taruga ALC862 installers. The only thing is that the built-in audio from my laptop is not working when I play audio/video. I have connected a whole audio system from logitech and it works but not from the built-in audio. If I want buy ilife 08 and iwork 08 retail versions will it work on kalyway?? I also heard that kalyway came up with the 10.5.3 combo update but I heard somewhere that you can`t install it if you have the patch for SSE2. The only thing is that I have that patch installed. If I posted this in the wrong I am sorry.
