  1. I have the same mobo as yours, were you able to install it now? I wonder when will Robert make instructions for P5Q?
  2. I remember I had a problem with my SL 10.6.3 before for having corrupted icons in my finder then I read a suggestion to delete the com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.desktop.plist and com.apple.dock.plist I did that and I thought it was corrected. Not until I updated my SL to 10.6.8. Now I don't see the folder icons in my desktop and Finder window. I checked the three files and I don't see them on my Preferences window. How can I reinstall them? Any help would be appreciated!
  3. Folder Icon missing after 10.6.8

Thanks @nyolc8. I tried the Disk Utility and still no luck. I downloaded the Combo Update directly from Apple website as well. Still not working. 5. 10.6.8 officially released

I just upgrade mine from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8. Now this is weird because all is well and most of the icons do appear in my screen except the Folder icon. I believe I'm still using the lates NVenabler.kext. I'm using 9500GT btw. I tried to download the other kexts from kexts.com but I cannot register since I do not see the Image Verification. Can somebody shed a light for me please? Thank you!
  6. Hi All! It's been a while since my last visit here. I just updated from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8 then I installed the new SleepEnabler kext and NVenabler.kext. All is well except for the Folder icons. Everything that has folder icon is empty. All icons appear though. Can someone shed a light for me? THanks! I tried downloading the kexts from Kext.com, apparently I need to register there to be able to download the Nvidia kexts. But I cannot register since there is no image on the image verification field. Help please!
  7. Snow Leopard on Asus P5Q

Nice to know that since I'm using the P5Q. I'm just wondering how did the audio go? Did it work out of the box? What Kext did you use? Does the mic input works now?
  8. i was able to install and use my P5Q. All are working fine, except that sometimes when I start my PC or Hackintosh, the audio file won't load. I have to restart it so the sounds will load. Sometimes I need to reinstall the sound file. How could I stop that from happening?
  9. iDeneb 10.5.6 doesn't install a bootloader?

i see.. ill try that when i finish downloading it.. thanks!
  10. iDeneb 10.5.6 doesn't install a bootloader?

I'm having the same problem... I can boot when the disc is in but when I remove it I'm getting "Insert Bootable disc or something like that". I tried installing chameleon and still same problem. I checked the Startup on the System Preferences and the hard disk is not there. The optical drive is IDE and the HDD is Sata. Is that a problem? I used the Kalyway before and it worked. I wonder why i'm having a pain in butt with ideneb. Pls advise.
  11. Try the audio fix of Marionez, it hit two birds on one stone, the audio and shutdown issue. I'm using P5Q and it worked for me.
  12. I benefited a lot from this thread. Big thanks to Robert and the other guys like Marionez. I just now have couple of concerns, I hope someone could shed a light. This is more of curiosity rather than a concern. Right now I'm booting using the Chameleon installed in my hard drive, is there a way for me to boot automatically to my mac without prompting me on what HD (I partitioned the main HD) should I use. I want the gray screen automatically appear and not the prompt. Or it would really just be like that? I know this is an installation thread but I can't find it from other thread as well, anyway, I tried to use the iMovie and iDVD just now and found out both of them are not working. iDVD just load then disappears, with iMovie08 I'm getting "You cannot use this version of the application iMovie with this version of Mac OS X." Please help! Thanks a lot and more power! *Update Just ran an update for iDVD and iMovie both of them works now.
  13. Atta great work, marionez! Kudos to you! I almost given hope for my sounds and line-in. Now I'm happier than before!
  14. I noticed that as well. I hope Robert or others could find a solution for this.
  15. I did that too. I think what I missed is that I used a Retail Leo 10.5 only (that won't work right?). I have to look for a copy of a new retail first then.
