  1. All long time mackintosher but don't post much. I finally upgraded my system to ML 10.8 and its running minus a few things. Here is my Computer specs Gigabyte UD5 i7 920 6 gig ram 9800 GTX 512 mb bluetooth magic mouse My issues are that when i tried to upgrade to 10.8.2 my computer froze on restart and i have reinstalled to 10.8 Is there a easy install path to 10.8.2? Also my sleep has never really worked in 10.7.2 or 10.8 Can someone walk me through an update of the sleepenabler.kext? I have searched this thread and just couldn't find the answers. Thanks 4Ari
  2. I hope someone can help me. I have the Gigabyte UD-5 board with an I7 chip running two hard drives. Current drive is running a SL 10.6.1 version. 2nd drive is going to be my Lion drive. I have followed these steps in the past to get my SL up and running. My question is when i try and install the Lion drive during the step where i restart to the lion drive and it begin's to load all the Kexts after about 7 or 8 pages of loading the computer will reset. I have tried many times to install lion but have tried all avenues. Any help would be appreciated?

    Netflix Error

I was able to use a hardware injector kext to get silverlight 3.0 installed. But when i try and stream a movie i keep getting an DRM Digital Rights Management Error Code 8152 I saw a fix for this in 10.5.6 but haven't seen a fix in 10.6.1 The 10.5.6 has you delete files that are no longer in SL Thanks -4Ari UD 5 58X i7 920 6 gig ram 2 tb hard drives ( OSX 10.6.1, win7) Nvidea 9800 GTX video card
  5. Sorry for the double question as i'm sure that one of the 58 pages has the answer to this. Currently running 10.6.1 and once i installed my bluetooth and magic mouse my sleep stopped working. I also see that lots of people have upgraded to 10.6.2 I kinda want to stay with 10.6.1 because it seems like quite the process to upgrade. IE: not clicking upgrade. (unless someone has a guide in laymen's terms) so my question is there a sleep fix for 10.6.1 that i can install? Also i need directions as i'm still learning how to operate this OS. I will pat myself on the back for figuring out how to get this far. thanks
  6. Hey guys I built this hackintosh using the UD5 board. I'm having trouble syncing my Apple TV to my hack? I'm thinking that my bonjour service might not be working properly. I have connected another mac to my hackintosh itunes and was able to stream but the Apple TV just doesn't want to connect. I have changed my router setting to allow AP isolation. Is the bonjour test that i can run to see what's the deal? OSX SL 10.6.1 Thanks

  9. I can't seem to get the audio / ethernet working in regular boot. If i use the arch=i386 everything works great. I ran the update kext and moved everything to the extra folder? Can someone tell me what i missed? Thanks
  10. got the i7 920 today.. i need help with a motherboard? which should i get for 10.6.1? something that is a good retail install? also can we all agree that the 9800gtx+ is the card to get? thanks
  11. Ok I'm still going with the i7 920 because i believe that you can use a very retail snow leopard install. Which motherboard should i get the ASUS or Gigabyte and why is there only installs for the most expensive boards? thx
  12. For me i think that the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 is just too much $$ and i'm not sure the benefits besides the SLI? I'm not a gamer and I'm not sure we can get both of those nic cards to use with OSX? Can someone recommend a good gigabyte x58 motherboard that is close to retail so that the upgrades are easier. thanks again. 4 ari
  13. I have a dell mini 9 running OSX and i love it. So i'm ready for my first desktop hackintosh. I want a i7 chip but not sure if it's worth waiting for the if 860 tutorial. Since my dell mini 9 is running a 16 gig SSD i'd like to have a 32 or 64gig SSD running in my desktop. Any thoughts on the SSD drive.
