  1. I was running 10.6.3 and had 100% working sleep, closed the lid then it itmmediately went to sleep, opened lid, it immediately woke up. But after upgrading to 10.6.8 it's broken... to explain now what happens, basically when I close the lid it doesn't sleep, however when I open the lid then it goes to sleep. however to wake it I have to press the power buttone but even then I get a very very dark screen, I can barely make out my wallpaper. There were some other things I had to fix after the upgrade, wireless/ethernet, USB etc, brightness fix... but my T61 is all back 99.99% working to where it was with 10.6.3. I'm using a custom DSDT that had a sleep fix applied and with 10.6.3 it was working beautifully. Any idea's what might be causing the break? My Extra folder was untouched, the only Kext's I had to fix were in the S/L/E folder and those were the 2 USB kext's (restored my 10.6.3 kext), IOPCIFamily (from 10.6.7). Thanks in advance
  2. T61 - Only displays left side of screen

For anyone else with this issue, this fixed my problem --> http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=763
  3. My T61 (8896-CTO) is only displaying the left side of the screen streched, and I've been pulling my hair out trying to resolve the issue. Everything else on the T61 works perfect, sleep, audio, even QE... I originally wanted to install 10.7.4 using this guide --> http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281430-my-mini-guide-for-install-1074-on-lenovot61-7661-cto/ however the only way I can get to the installer is by using tony's USB installer, and as soon as I follow the rest of the guide system won't get past "waiting for DSMOS" no matter what I try, or what boot loader I use, or com.apple.boot.plist settings. So because I've found SL to work great on previous system's, I went with it. I used iHack for the installer and the boot loader, and then I used the Kext files from that 10.7.4 guide and his Sleep DSDT fix. My hardware specs are pretty much exact to what HUSABER uses in that guide, same CPU, Athero's card etc... the big difference in that I have the 4:3 LCD 1400x1050. I'm using his DSDT because sleep works + lid close sleep. During the iHack boot loader screen, and the Apple logo screen, the resolution is full 1400x1050, but the second it enter's OSX it cuts to half screen and stretched to fill the screen, although it still reports 1400x1050 as in the pic. QE still works as I've tested that, the X3100 is fully recognized, and everything still works as should... just this half screen issue. Brightness controls work perfect using x3100FB fix posted in same thread. I would really appreciate any guidance or help anyone can give, thanks in advance. Here is the DSDT I'm using, as well the SMBIOS and com.apple.boot.plist I'm on 10.6.3 no updates yet. see pic below. DSDT I'm using --> http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=113718 My SMBIOS.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosdate</key> <string>10/10/2010</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MBA41.88Z.00BB.B00.0712201139</string> <key>SMcputype</key> <string>769</string> <key>SMexternalclock</key> <string>167</string> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>MacBook Air</string> <key>SMmanufacter</key> <string>Apple.inc</string> <key>SMmaximalclock</key> <string>2200</string> <key>SMmemmanufacter_1</key> <string>PRINCETON</string> <key>SMmemmanufacter_2</key> <string>NANYA</string> <key>SMmempart_1</key> <string>66-1122831E</string> <key>SMmempart_2</key> <string>DE8200</string> <key>SMmemserial_1</key> <string>4QY7734-HY</string> <key>SMmemserial_2</key> <string>KN2GB-0311</string> <key>SMmemspeed</key> <string>667</string> <key>SMmemtype</key> <string>19</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacBookAir4,1</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>C0050ZFCJ5G</string> <key>SMsystemversion</key> <string>1.30f3</string> </dict> </plist> My com.apple.Boot.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>PciRoot</key> <string>1</string> <key>RestartFix</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/smbios.plist</string> <key>SystemID</key> <string>a84eca01-4a86-11cb-bdbc-c0991c38092d</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>Default</string> <key>Wait</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>arch</key> <string>i386</string> <key>system-type</key> <string>2</string> </dict> </plist> I took this as a screen shot, but it's actually stretched to fill my screen, looks interlaced.
  4. I've been trying to get Leo4all V3 installed on my Asus laptop for quite some time and yesterday, finally got everything working. Software is really a hit and miss though... Internet works alright, some pages like facebook do not load properly... but maybe it's Safari? I installed iLife 08 but again only half of it works. iMovie 08 crrashes and refuses to start, and after installed iMovie 06 which runs, it crashes once my Sony handycam is plugged in. I've also tried installing Quake 4, and Postal 2 which both start to run then stop and quit... video drivers maybe? Overall I'm very please with OSX and I think my next purchase will be an iMac
  5. :2cents: :D :D WORKING!!!! :D :D :D Finally got it working 100% !!! NVinstaller .41 gave me Full QE but white menu's. Then I tried Aquamac's 9800GTX driver package (Automated installer) and everything works now. Full res, QE, no white menu's!!! Now I just need to get the Audio going.
  6. Hey all, I have a Asus M51Sn laptop with the Geforce 9500m GS 512mb DDR2. I know it's fairly new but I'm sure someone has the same GPU and possibly has had some luck. It's apparently based on the G84, or rather is a G84. Specs are identical to the 8600m GT. I'm running Leo's 4 all V3, Vanilla Kernel 9.2.0. I've been playing around with the different drivers the last few days with some OS reinstalls in the process and have't gotten too far. Here's the process that works most for me: Install 10.2.5 -> Install Punk92's Nvidia Installer V1.9 and after rebooting, I can change my ressolution and in system properties, it shows I have a 512mb card, but no QE or hardware excel. I've also tried to do Aqua's Graphics string, which did not change anything... I'm almost sure I followed the directions right, however can never say forsure. My other question is if this card is a G84, same as a 8600GT, can I force the OS to see it as a 8600GT then? Can I cahnge the ID's so that they match that of the 8600? Thanks in advance for any help!
