  1. Hi, I'm sorry to bother you. I have some questions about hacking the audio chip 1984a. Did your sound chip 1984a work appropriately on Mac OSX 10.13.6? I used any methods, but it's still not working.

  2. Hi. I need some help for 1984a audio chip which is the same chip as Dell Optiplex 780. I have a Dell Precision T7500 dual Xeon with sound chip 1984a on Mac OS 13.6. I used AppleAlc and injected layout 11,13 and 44. All of them worked except the sound coming out, I mean I can find the audio devices in System Information and control the volume bar, but there is no sound coming out. I don't know why. Would you mind help me? Thank you very much.

  3. Hi, MaLd0n. I am working on a Dell Precision T7500 with dual Xeon Cpu. I have some issues about patching DSDT. The main problem is that I can't find any others PCI in System Information except Apple Audion Controller and NVIDIA graphics card. I also have another question whether there are some devices in DSDT which can affect the sound output or not because when I used AppleALC.kext as a sound chip drive, I can see the sound devices in System Information, however, there is no sound coming out. After I altered to VoodooHDA.kext. Anything works properly. I don't know why. Is there some related PCI devices lead to this problem. Thank you! Have a great day.

Thank you! This zip generated from Runme.app. I used VoodooHDA, so there is no AppleAlC and lilu. Do I need to send you a zip with AppleAlc inside?

      Send me yinbos-Mac-Pro.zip

      Just inject 11, 13 or 44

I injected the layout id = 13. I also tried to inject other layout ids, such as id 11 and 44 which I searched in AppleALC kext, all of them were working but no sound. I used two methods to injected ID which can be recognized in IORegistryExplorer.First one was that using a boot flag. The second one has changed Layout Id in DSDT. Unfortunately, even though both of them were working, there was not sound coming out. When I injected Id= 11, 13, and 44. There was not output sound, but the audio devices can be found in System Information and I can use volume control bar. Probably, the main reason is that Nods and PinConfigrations are not corrected. So I compared the codec_dump extracted from the Linux and the dump_voodoo from voodooHDA with the PinConfigration in AppleALC kext. I found that most of the information was the same. I don't know the reasons. Do I need all the PCI devices are recognized in PCI of System Information? I only got "Apple Audio Controller" and "NVIDIA GeForce GT 635" in PCI. Thank you for helping me. By the way, VoodooHDA.kext is working. Although the internal speaker is not working, the headphones are fine.
