Hi everyone ! I have a laptop thinkpad x1 yoga 2018 , the sound device is realtek alc285. My friend and I spend numerous time on patching its layout-id , however either the headphone jack or laptop audio recording have noises. Any help is appreciated , thank you !!! 2. Hi everyone! I'm very , very interested in how to build a hackintosh via virtual machine like qemu/kvm. First I want to introduce myself. I'm currently a medical student ,medium IQ (107) , without sufficient knowledge in hardware , linux system ... etc. Due do some inevitable reason , I start to build my dream touchscreen hackintosh , hackintosh tablet. However , after awaring of the limitation of hackintosh laptop , such as soldered wifi card (on some newer models) or couldn't use discrete graphic card , I think maybe its time to learn how to use virtualization to build hackintosh. I know that this is extremely difficult for a layman to learn qemu/kvm and other background knowledge , and I might don't have enough time to maintain my build for I might spend over 100 hours working per week in hospital , at the future. However , if it is possible , as a hobbyist , I'm willing to squeeze hours in the weekend to learn the background knowledge , asking for help in many forums , test my build (even that might takes me several years to finish it.) Asking my question with sincerity , I want to know Is it possible for me to learn how to making this build? (As a hobbyist , making a whole year plan to learn the suff and finish it is sustainable .) What should I learn??? I will be very appreciated if you tell me what I should learn , step-by-step ; or where I should start? The specs below is my dream hackintosh "laptop" touchscreen with active pen support (to me , the touchscreen is a must!!!!!) discrete graphics card support Thank you.

I cannot enable specific resolution(1920*1080) in hidpi , using hackintool or FixEDID+DarwinDumper Any help is appreciated , thanks~ 28525.zip

    Hackintool v2.8.6

Mmm... I think the problem is , when I set the port to some type(usb3 or typeC) , and substitude the SSDT-UIAC exported from hackintool for my original SSDT-UIAC , then reboot , the usb port will become different again. Sorry for my laptops' weird behavior

    Hackintool v2.8.6

Not correct... The SS01&SS02 should show usb3

    Hackintool v2.8.6

WOW!!! The result become this , the SS01&SS02 shows type C Thinkpad x1 Yoga 3rd.ioreg.zip

    Hackintool v2.8.6

So all of those should be UsbConnector=3. HS03/HS04, UsbConnector=10 (matching the _UPC data for XHC@0 SS01/SS02). I'm pretty sorry to bother you , @headkaze , for I found out a weird thing when using hackintool to generate SSDT-UIAC & SSDT-USBX. When I does the exact same patch with Rehabman's SSDT.UIAC and Hackintool's SSDT.UIAC , the rehabs' result is this ; while the hackintools' result is this. This is my ioreg dump and EFI , hoping you can take a look when you have time , thanks!

    Hackintool v2.8.6

Your welcome , developer ! From Rehabman : Note that your ACPI is using _UPC to set UsbConnector=10 for those ports. If the HSxx on XHC@14 are connected to that, those should be UsbConnector=10 as well. So all of those should be UsbConnector=3. HS03/HS04, UsbConnector=10 (matching the _UPC data for XHC@0 SS01/SS02). Also , I think that this laptop don't need FakePCIID.kext + FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext ? For the USB controller id are 0x8086:0x9D2F ; 0x8086:0x15D4

I'm very very sorry about my mistake... please give me one more chance my USB port without any modification https://imgur.com/a/0pBpY7s the two USB3.1 type A ports(HS01,HS02) on my laptop can hardly recognize my USB 3.0 drive , but can easily recognize my USB 2.0 drive About the two thunderbolt 3 ports : if I connect the anterior port with type c usb , HS03 shows usb2.1 hub and SS01 shows usb 3.1 hub ; if I connect the posterior port with type c usb , HS04 shows usb2.1 hub and SS02 shows usb3.1 hub After add -uia_exclude_ss in config.plist > boot > argument https://imgur.com/a/GjVex5v the two USB 3.1 type A ports can quickly recognized my USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 drive The two thunderbolt 3 ports remains the same : if I connect the anterior port with type c usb , HS03 shows usb2.1 hub and SS01 shows usb 3.1 hub ; if I connect the posterior port with type c usb , HS04 shows usb2.1 hub and SS02 shows usb3.1 hub After add -uia_exclude_hs in config.plist > boot > argument https://imgur.com/a/pH3g4Tf the two USB 3.1 type A ports cannot recognize USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 drive The two thunderbolt 3 ports can recognize USB type C , and show USB 3.1 hubs
